Article I
Who We Are

We who assemble for the purpose below shall henceforth be the Denison Gaming Guild [DGG], and the DGG are we.

Article II
What We Do

The DGG exists to suck the marrow out of a life of role-playing and strategy games. To clarify, our goals are to stretch our minds, socialize with our comrades and revel in the glory that is strategic fantasy gaming.

Article III
Who Can Join Us

Section 1.

Regular membership [Guildsmanship] in the DGG shall be open to any full-time Denison University student who wishes to join in gaming, observe said gaming or just because they have nothing else to do.

Section 2.

Associate membership [The Allies] in the DGG shall be open to any part-time student, graduate student, professional student, faculty member, staff member or administrator at Denison University who ascribe to the values set forth in Article II.

Section 3.

Those who have no affiliation with Denison University in an official or recognized capacity but nevertheless wish to participate in the primary functions of the DGG (to play fantasy games) may do so. They will be honorary members [Honorable Barbaroi] and are welcome by the DGG.

Article IV
Those Who Lead Us

Section 1.

Officers of the DGG shall be as follows:
1. The First Grand Pooh Bah of Timmy (Co-President)
2. The Second Grand Pooh Bah of Timmy (Co-President)
3. The Keeper of the Oracle
4. The Game Masters, whose numbers shall be set each semester

Section 2.

Officers of the DGG shall be elected at the first business meeting of the year, once membership is clearly determined by participation, by a quorum of the DGG as defined in Article V, Section 2. Both the First and Second Grand Pooh Bahs of Timmy shall be elected.

Section 3.

Officers shall take office immediately after being elected and will hold their office for a period of one year.

Section 4.

Officers shall not be on academic or disciplinary probation at the time of their elections and throughout their term in office.

Section 5.

Should it be found that the office of Keeper of the Oracle or of any Game Master is vacant, then the presiding Grand Pooh Bah of Timmy shall nominate a successor and that Guildsman will take office for the remainder of the original officeholder's term, provided a quorum is present to approve. If either the office First or Second Grand Pooh Bah of Timmy is vacant, then a meeting shall be held immediately and a new Grand Pooh Bah of Timmy will be selected to fill the office for the remainder of the original officeholder's term.

Section 6.

If it is found that any holder of office has been accused of violating the terms set forth in this Constitution, the DCGA Constitution, the laws of Granville, Ohio, the laws of Ohio, the Ohio Constitution, the laws of the United States of America and/or the Constitution of the United States of America, then an immediate meeting will be held with a majority of the DGG present. The accused shall then set forth an explanation of the charges or an alibi. The DGG will vote whether or not to impeach then, or to wait for an outcome of said accusation in the court provided to deal with the alleged broken term. In the event that the accused is found guilty or voted against based on the defense given, each member shall leave the room in a single file line. This will signify an end of office for that person, but they shall be welcome among us as a Guildsman nonetheless.

Section 7.

Duties of Officers.

1. The First Grand Pooh Bah of Timmy shall conduct all official business of the DGG for the first semester and will assist in the conduction of business throughout the second semester. This officer, for the first semester, will preside over all business meetings of the DGG, co-sign all checks of the DGG, appoint the Keeper of the Oracle and the Game Masters with the approval of a quorum, be responsible for keeping accurate records of all official financial matters and dues, keep minutes and records when deemed necessary by a majority of the DGG and distributing and processing communications between members with the assistance of the Keeper of the Oracle and the Second Grand Pooh Bah of Timmy. Whenever necessary and expedient, the DGG's moderator will also co-sign all checks.

2. The Second Grand Pooh Bah of Timmy shall conduct all official business of the DGG for the second semester and will assist in the conduction of business throughout the first semester. This officer shall have the same responsibilities and privileges of the First Grand Pooh Bah of Timmy, but shall carry out these duties in the second semester, just as the First Grand Pooh Bah of Timmy carries out these duties in the first semester.

3. The Keeper of the Oracle, who is not so much "elected" as "chosen" by the DGG for the role played herein, shall be responsible for maintaining the World Wide Web page of the DGG on the Internet and co-signing checks of the DGG when necessary and expedient. Furthermore, this officer shall assist both Grand Pooh Bahs of Timmy in distributing and processing communications for the DGG and selecting Guildsmen to assist in these activities whenever necessary.

4. The Game Masters are those who lead gaming meetings of the game assigned to them or chosen by them, as determined by a quorum of the DGG whenever necessary. They shall organize regular meetings of their selected game, instruct newcomers to the playing of their game, co-sign checks whenever necessary and expedient and collect game meeting dues for the procurement of refreshment as determined by a majority vote of the Guildsmen present as well as ensure fair redistribution of remaining refreshment funds or turn them over to the DGG to be used as acquisition funds for further gaming.

Article V
When We Gather

Section 1.

A regularly scheduled general meeting shall be held at least every month. The officers may call additional meetings when the need arises. All gaming meetings will be determined by the Game Masters, but will not be less than once a month.

Section 2.

A quorum shall consist of 40% of the regular members.

Section 3.

A quorum shall be present in order for any official business to be conducted. Official business shall include election of officers, setting of dues, and any other major decisions effecting the organization.

Article VI
Committees

The officers of the organization shall have the authority to create any standing or special committees that will further the purpose of the DGG. In specific, there must always be a committee comprised of all officers known as the Appropriations Committee, whose job it is to determine what, if any, supplies of a gaming nature would be necessary and proper for a group such as DGG to acquire.

Article VII
Who Is Our Counsel

Section 1.

The DGG shall have a minimum of one advisor who shall be a Denison University faculty member or professional staff member.

Section 2.

In the case of vacancy, the Appropriations Committee will nominate a new advisor who will then be approved at the next official meeting of the DGG by a quorum.

Article VIII
Our Funds

Section 1.

Dues shall be determined by the officers of the organization, subject to the approval of a quorum of the DGG membership. Refreshment dues will be determined at such time that refreshments are procured, by those procuring said refreshment.

Section 2.

If the organization dissolves, former participants request that any accumulated funds be set aside in a savings account until such time as there is an organization funded with similar goals, that they may partake in that which we raised for a common end. If this is struck down, then accumulated funds must go to an incoming student with financial need who enjoys and shows proficiency in creative writing.

Article IX
Parliamentary Authority

The parliamentary authority shall be the current edition of Robert's Rules of Order, Newly Revised.

Article X
To Change Our Ways

Section 1.

All amendments to this constitution require previous notice of 10,081 minutes prior to being discussed and voted upon.

Section 2.

All amendments require a 2/3 vote or a quorum for adoption.

Section 3.

Amendments become effective only after approval by the Senate of DCGA.
