Welcome to my walkthru for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time! I am currently starting a new game so I can do the best walkthru possible. I will put each section up as I get done, complete with maps (where needed)!

PART III-The Spiritual Stone of Fire

LOST WOODS/SACRED FOREST MEADOW

Enemies:
Wolfos (guard and counter his attacks)
Mad Scrub (use your shield to deflect their seeds back at them)

Navi will tell you "What would Saria say if we told her we were going to save Hyrule?". Go find Saria. Go back to Kokiri, and Mido will tell you he thinks that she is probably in the Sacred Forest Meadow in the Lost Woods. Climb the vines in his backyard, and go into the lost woods. To get the the Meadow, go right, left (talk to the owl), right, left, straight, left, right. Defeat the Wolfos, and work your way thru the maze, watching out for the Mad Scrubs (defeat as per Deku Scrubs). If you are low on hearts, climb the ladder by the stairs, and drop down the other ladder. Fall into the hole to get to a Fairy Fountain. Go up the stairs and you will find Saria. She will teach you another song, 'Saria's Song'. You can use this to talk to her anytime...sometimes she has helpful hints. Now that you have done that, it is on to Kakariko Village!

From the main gate of Hyrule Castle, take a left. Go across the bridge and up to stairs to Kakariko Village.

KAKARIKO VILLAGE

Once in Kakariko, talk to everyone. There's a bunch of wierd carpenters running around...don't pay attention to them though. One lady has lost her Cuccos...if you bring them all back, she will give you a bottle. Here's where they are: -Grab the one right by the pen, walk up the stairs to the windmill, walk to the far ledge, and jump off towards the door of the red building. Toss the Cucco back over the fence. Walk down the stairs (be careful not to fall in the hole), grab the Cucco, go back up the stairs, and toss it over the fence. Climb up the ladder by the windmill, and grab another. Float down with it. Toss those three in the pen, then go grab the one by the entrance to the Village. Next, head up towards Death Mountain Pass, grab the Cucco, stand on the red roof, and float over to where one is sitting on a ledge with a fence. toss them both off and throw them in the pen. The last one is hidden in a crate next to the building you just jumped off of. Bring it back, talk to the lady and she will give you a bottle! YAY!

When you think you are ready, head for the gate to Death Mountain. Talk to the guard and he will laugh at you. Show him the letter from Zelda, and he will let you pass. Make sure you have the Hylian Shield. He will also ask you a favor...get him a mask at the Hppy Mask Shop (for his son)...remember that! Ok, let's go!

DEATH MOUNTAIN TRAIL

Enemies:
Red Tektite (block and attack...be careful, they can jump over your shield)
Skullwalltulas (same as before)
Volcanic Activity (hope you brought your Hylian Shield!)

Now you are on Death Mountain Trail...not the nicest of places, but it's where you gotta go! Follow the trail, taking out the Red Tektites. When you reach a large boulder and a sign, you will see what looks like a small boulder. Go over to it and it will wake up...talk to it. It is a Goron, a rock-eating people that live on Death Mountain. It tells you that the Dodongo's Cavern has been sealed up by a Gerudo in black armor...seems Ganondorf is at it again. Continue up the trail. Stick to the right edge of the mountain (be careful to avoid the rolling Goron) to reach the Goron City.

GORON CITY

Once inside Goron City, make sure and talk to everyone! Avoid the big rolling Goron. You will learn that the Goron Leader, Darunia, has shut himself in his room. Go down to the bottom floor and stand on the funky floor tile (looks like footprints). Play 'Zelda's Lullaby' and the door will open. Go talk to Darunia. He will yell and scream at you. When he is finished, play 'Saria's Song' for him, and he will get down and boogie! His depression will go away, and he will tell you that if you go kill the creatures in the Dodongo's Cavern, you can have the Spiritual Stone of Fire. He will also give you the Goron's Bracelet, which enables you to pick up Bomb Flowers! Pretty nifty, huh?

Grab a Deku Stick, light it, then light the torches on the first floor. The statue will start spinning around. If you toss bombs into it, you will get stuff, and maybe even a heart piece :)

Head back outside to Death Mountain Trail. Hang a right at the rock circle, and go over to where there is a single bomb flower growing. pull it up, and toss it over the cliff. Head back down the trail, and go into the cave.....

DODONGO'S CAVERN

Enemies:
Beamos (use a bomb to destroy...watch out for the laser beam it shoots from its eye)
Baby Dodongo (slash them, then stand back, they blow up after they die!)
Dodongo (toss some bombs its way)
Keese (keep your guard up and expect attack from above)
Lizalfos (block and hit it after it swings at you)
Business Scrub (defeat it and it will sell you something)
Fire Keese (it will burn your Deku Shield up!)
Armos (toss some bombs it's way)
King Dodongo (see below)

Secrets: Play the Scarecrow's Song (when you learn it) here to make Pete the Scarecrow appear. Hookshot to him to claim a Gold Skulltula.

Gold Skulltulas: 5

Pick the bomb flower and use it to blast open the door. You have now enetered the Dodongo's Cavern.

First Floor

Avoid the Beamos in the center platform, and hop onto the small platform, and then to the ledge on the left. Use a bomb flower to destroy the Beamos here. After he is taken care of, use another bomb flower to destroy the middle wall and grab the MAP. The creature in the alcove (#2) to the left of the MAP will sell you a Deku Shield if you need one. Grab another bomb flower, leap over to the middle platform, and blow up that Beamos. Proceed to hop over to the other ledge. Bomb the Beamos, and then blow up the walls on the right and left. If you are running low on life, play 'Zelda's Lullaby' in front of the little statue thingie (#1) and a fairy will pop out. Go down the tunnel on the right, and try to lure a Baby Dodongo to #3 on the map. Kill it and it will explode, opening a room with a Gold Skulltula in it. After killing it (you don't have to), contine down to the door, and hop on the switch. What's that? After you step off, it pops back up? Push a statue onto and it will stay open.

Go through the door, defeat the 2 Keese here, and go through the next door. You will fight the mini-boss...2 Lizalfos (#3). They are easy if you keep your guard up and attack right after they take a swing at you. Wait for them to come to you, don't go after them unless you need to. After you beat them, go through the new door that opens.

Walk down the hallway, and you will see a wall on the left that you can bomb...if you are in need of Deku Sticks then do it, otherwise forget it. Go into the next room, and you will see some slow-moving lizards...these are the Dodongos! Your sword cannot defeat them, and if you get too close, they will breathe fire at you. Pick some bomb flowers and toss them at the Dodongos. 2-3 should do the job. Your SLINGSHOT will also work well here. Afterdefeating the 3 Dodongo's, light a Deku Stick on the torch where you came in, then light the other torches to open to door.

Walk through the door and step on the switch...it will open the door across the room. Jump down, then hop across to the other side, and go through the door. Bomb the wall open to reveal a door, and go through it. Defeat the statue by throwing bombs at it, then take the COMPASS in the big chest. Go back out, and place a bomb in the empty space between all the other bombs (you will see it as you enter the room from the COMPASS room. The bomb will explode causing a chain reaction, which in turn will create....stairs!

Second Floor

Climb up them and hop up onto the boardwalk. Go over to the door, and kill the Skullwalltula and Gold Skulltula. Proceed through the door. Watch out for the Fire keese in this room, take them out before they hit you, or switch to the Hylian Shield. Defeat the 3 Armos (1-2 well placed bombs will kill each of them, the 4th is a statue), then move the statue, climb the ladder and step on the switch (room B).

Go through the door and you will find yourself on the 2nd floor of the main chamber. Be mindful of the Fire Keese here, and jump across the bridge. You will come into a room with Lots of pillars...which makes for narrow paths. Watch out for the sliding stars, and make your way to the back, and pull out the large block (#4). Use it to hop up onto the platform with the treasue chest. Grab the bomb flower, and carefully time your throw so it explodes right next to the wall. Climb the ladder and walk into the next room (room G). Use your slingshot to hit the eye symbol and stop the flames. Hop across the platforms, then go through the hallway, being careful of the Baby Dodongos. In the netx room (room H), you will once again fight...Lizalfos! 2 of them again...dispatch them as before.

Go through the door, shoot the eye across the room, hop onto the 1st platform, look to your left, then shot the other eye. Continue out the door and back into room D. Jump across the gap, then open the big chest to find the BOMB BAG! Now you can carry bombs! If you bomb open the wall below you, you will find 2 Business Scrubs selling Deku Seeds and Deku Nuts. Only jump down if you really need them. Go through the hallway, and step on the switch, and you will see that you are back in the main chamber. Go up and read the stone, and it will say "Giant dead Dodongo...when it sees red, a new way to go will be open.". This confused me at first. What you need to do is to go right, onto the bridge, and drop bombs in it eyes. There are gaps in the bridge allowing you to do so. When you do, the mouth will open!

First Floor

Jump or ride the big pillar down to the main platform, make sure you ave all that you need, and go into the mouth, and through the door. Watch out for the Fire Keese in the next room (room G). You will notice a hole in the ground with a switch in it. Once you step off it, it pops back up. Go hop up into the tunnel (#5) and work your way around to room H. You can bomb the wall here if you want to, and get a Gold Skulltula. Go out of room H opposite of where you came in, and you will see a large block. Aha! Push it down and into the hold in the floor to open the door. Go through the door, open the chest and get the bombs. Place one in the middle of the room where the floor is reddish-brown. Drop down in and.....

BOSS TIME!!!!!

Infernal Dinosaur, also known as King Dodongo...
To beat King Dodongo, run up to him, and when he opens his mouth, toss a bomb into it. He will eat it, and it will blow up in his tummy, stunning him. Slash at him, then get to a safe spot when he starts rolling. The safe spot in this room is on the edge of the lava pool...not in it, but right next to it. His fire and roll attacks cannot hurt you if you stand here. 4 or 5 slashes ought to do him in. If you run out of bombs, never fear, there are bomb flowers in the chamber, just in case! Once you have beat him, grab the heart and warp on out!

AFTERMATH

After you warp out, Darunia will appear. He will give you the Spiritual Stone of Fire and tell you to go see the Great Fairy on top of Death Mountain. If you do not have the Hylian Shield, go buy one! Go towards Goron City, but this time, go up the mountain at the red flag, not around. Blow up the rocks with bombs, and climb up. As you are walking, you will hear some rumbling, and the ground turns red. Quickly use your shield (R button) to protect yourself from falling rocks. After it subsides, move as quick as you can. This will happen a few times, so be prepared! Climb the wall, being sure to take out the 3 Skullwalltula's. When you reach the top you will see your friend the owl. Talk to him, then bomb open the lightbrown wall (don't go into the cave, it's a suicide mission if you do). Enter and play 'Zelda's Lullaby' while standing on the Triforce symbol. A Great Fairy will pop out of the pool, and give you the Sword Spin technique.

Go back out and talk to the owl again...he will fly you down to Kakariko Village. Drop off the roof of the house on the side with the lady's chicken pen, and you will land on a ledge. Go in the hole to get a piece of heart.
