There is something on my mind,
You are a person, one charming, sweet, and kind
This poem is for just you to read,
To also know that I will be there when you need

Chance brought you into my life,
One that is usually in chaos and other times strife
To me, you are a calming breeze,
You thaw my heart, one that normally will freeze

Words are hard sometimes to use,
Sometimes not spoken, often whispers and muse
It is odd to care so much, so fast,
I know that I want these feelings to persist, to last

These words are for you, to know,
At any time, seasons filled with rain or with snow
Even though I care too much now,
