Yearning

This is the prologue of the gift fiction Domi-chan so generously gave me! ^^U
It contains shounen ai, supposedly safe for all readers, but if you don¡¯t like incest, or is not an avid Street Fighter 3 fan, then ignore this stupid fiction and head back to Main.
I did this after reading Domi¡¯s wonderful fiction, so I¡¯d gladly give most of the credits to her, as well as V6, whose song ¡®Over¡¯ gave me the extra inspiration to write this during my MAJOR exams! ~_~
In other words, this is kind of a song fic, my very first one, so please bear with me! Doomo!
PS: Over is actually a Japanese song [DUH] but I translated it to English instead, for the sake of non-Jap speaking people out there! ^^U
It¡¯s really a nice song!
But I¡¯m a crappy translator¡ XD
====================================================================================
He gazed towards the crowded streets of Hong Kong, searching, seeking.
A flash of raven black, then a pair of hazelnut brown eyes; quite similar to his own warm ones, gazed back at him.
It was like looking at a mirror.

¡°Oni-san.¡± The soft, serious voice disturbed the silence between the two.
¡°And I thought you would take an hour or two.¡± Was the playful rebuke.
¡°I do not fool around like you do along the way.¡± The chestnut shades had a hint of diverting in them.
¡°And how can you prove that?¡± The two started at the same direction at a leisurely pace.

A sidelong glance answered knowingly.
¡°How much for that charcoal jacket you¡¯ve just bought?¡±
Apparently he decided to change the subject.
¡°A hundred and twenty dollars. How is it?¡± He preened for the braided boy to admire.
¡°NIKE?¡± The longer-haired boy whistled. ¡°You sure know where to put your money.¡±
¡°Don¡¯t you have a similar AASICS one?¡±
¡°That was blue, dear brother of mine.¡±
¡°I meant the price.¡±

Yun kept quiet. He grinned in defeat, hands raised above his head. ¡°WHITE FLAG! I surrender!¡±
His companion smirked in response.

Emblazoned passions of the heart
Take a step a time, towards the future
When you¡¯re lost, do not hide
Be strong¡

It has been seventeen long years for the twin dragons.
Seventeen long years.

Although I said I would do it,
I can¡¯t. I don¡¯t have the courage to¡
Today I have wounded someone by wounding myself,
Masking myself behind the crowd¡

¡°Seventeen long years¡¡±
¡°Oni-san? I couldn¡¯t catch what you said, could you repeat yourself?¡±
¡°Huh? Oh, nothing.¡± Yun chuckled, his grin concealing emotion with ease.
Yang frowned, but said nothing.

People say I¡¯m normal, they say I¡¯m truthful.
Actually this is a little embarrassing¡
Thrusting away my honour, my might;
Instead, I search for courage.

He tipped the brim of his cap to shadow his handsome face, worried that the younger twin might see through this masquerade.
Yang did.
¡°Are you sure?¡±
¡°Huh? Sure of what?¡± His pretence was falling apart like over-dried clay.
¡°Oni-san¡¡± Yang threw a skeptical look at his elder twin, very confident that Yun was lying through his teeth.
¡°Well, I¡¡±
¡°Yun!¡±

They had reached the doorstep of their apartment, and Yang was determined to squeeze the problem his twin was facing before they graced the comfort of their home¡or to be more precise, before Yun could sneak into his room and avoid the younger twin¡¯s questioning eyes.

So he was standing by the door, blocking the entrance.
He was holding onto the keys, Yun being the more careless one; but it didn¡¯t hurt to make extra precautions.
He decided to pry on; seeing the capped youth shift his weight uncomfortably on each foot, not daring to have any eye contact whatsoever, for he was holding nervously onto the beak of his cap, just in case a strong gust blew his only shield away.

¡°What¡¯s wrong with you? You¡¯ve been acting so strangely since¡I don¡¯t know since when!¡±

I don¡¯t know how to live¡
Marred deeply by love.
Right now it¡¯s so hard¡
How I wish I could just scream out loud.

¡°I¡¯m just a little tired, that¡¯s all.¡± Yun gave a winning smile, although his thoughts and feelings flooded his mind and heart in a turmoil.
:: No, I mustn¡¯t tell him.
He cannot know.
This relationship is futile.
He has a future, he loves children.
What if he is being pulled down by me?
How could he love me?
He¡¯s my brother.
My twin brother.
How could I feel like that for him?
He deserves much more¡much much more¡::

Reminiscing an endless dream,
The restless days of youth
Wraps tightly around me.
I wipe away my tears
Face the music
Be strong.

Yang bit worriedly on his lower lip.
::This isn¡¯t Yun!::
¡°Are you okay?¡± He took a step forward.
Yun backed away a little casually, trying to be oblivious of the fact that the spiky-haired youth was approaching him a little too¡close.
¡°Yeah, maybe after a while of rest I¡¯ll be okay.¡±

The younger of the two seemed a little indecisive at first, then relented, and turned to open the door.
A rustle of keys and the door creaked open.
But that seemed like forever to Yun.
He breathed a sigh of pure relief, and trundled in, dumping the grocery bags onto the kitchen counter, and headed for his room.

Yang heaved a long suffering sigh when he closed the door.
He was so close, yet so far¡
Then a thought suddenly occurred to him.
::Since when did we sleep in separate rooms?::
Ache seared through his heart like a heated, poisoned weapon.
It felt sour, and the heat was so overwhelming that it felt chilled.

He shivered, and clutched tighter onto his newly purchased jacket.
It was the only warmth he could think of, but the material wasn¡¯t enough to mend his anguish.

Say a little joke
Share the happiness
In the raw, open talk between us
Just to know what you actually feel
I¡¯ll take your hand¡

As he unpacked the food, Yang mused over still vivid memories.
When their parents left them¡
When they were alone, together.
When they shared everything.
When he first held his hand,
When he touched his face, caressed his cheek, consoled him.
Told him not to cry.
To be strong, to be brave¡
To hold him in his arms, a loving embrace.
To shut out the cold, cold cruel world around them, all in his arms.

Then it was so easy to accept you.
Now you took a huge turn,
The joy to know you
I swear by the four seasons
You¡¯ll never feel lonely again
Seeking for a brighter future
When you held out your hand
See how things have changed?

He could still feel those wonderfully comforting arms around him; that sweet, sweet voice, soothing to his fresh anguish.

He could still feel his tears rush down his cheeks¡or is he crying now?
The back of his hands immediately reached out to stubbornly brush the tears away.
¡°Where did his warmth go? Why isn¡¯t he here with me now? Am I alone?¡±

Nothing¡¯s impossible in this world
Yes, I must have faith in myself

Yun grasped the area of flesh where his heart laid, forcing himself not to cry, not to grieve over such matters.
Apparently it wasn¡¯t really successful, as sparkles of teardrops sank into the soft material of the pillows which he hugged.
Hair strewn all over the sheets, he sprawled confusedly over his four-poster bed, thoughts ad tangled, perhaps even more than his hair.

A soft, silent question broke the serenity.
¡°Where¡¯s my faith?¡±

Reminiscing an endless dream,
The restless days of youth
