Jet Blade
Over three hundred years ago a powerful Lord called Eiram was in desperate need for weapons that could arm demonic invaders of his lands. Legend has it that to give his forces a fighting chance, Lord Eiram paid the most powerful magical guild of the time, the Circle of Eve, a huge sum of gold to fashion for him one thousand magical swords that would harm the invading forces. The swords were called Nightblades and could injure even magical creatures. However, despite this, somehow the demons still managed to deal Eiram's men a mortal blow, slaying them all. The swords had harmed the creatures the creatures though, enough that they rent them in two, forming a Jet Hilt and a Jet Blade, then scattering them around the land.
Jet Hilt
I brought the Jet Hilt close to my eyes and scrutinised it carefully. Yes ! I knew what it was ! Night Blade (Made from a Jet Hilt and a Jet Blade)
I lifted my Nightblade up before my eyes, marvelling in its utter perfection, the way the shadows seem to leap from its metallic surface, the way the strange, alien metal gave no reflection, almost seeming to trap the light within itself. I felt the balance of the sword, noting how right, how totally in tune with myself it felt. Certainly there was magic in this weapon. Dark, cold magic, but not evil... just different.

Great Sword
A great sword is a huge blade weapon favoured by powerful skilled tall fighters. Shorter combatants would not be able to wield such a large blade effectively. The blade is normally double edged and the weapon is heavy, making it tiring to use and slower than other blade types, but delivering a devastating cut when it strikes true.

Bang-Bang Stick
The Bang-Bang stick is strange and deadly weapon created by the mad wizard Hackenslay. It is a curved metal pole which a wielder holds and points. There is a trigger like a crossbows which, when pulled, discharges a bolt of crimson energy at the target. The noise from the Bang-Bang stick is frightening indeed, hence the name. Unfortunately, the sheer magical energy needed to power a Bang-Bang stick makes their life span limited, their power gradually fading over a few turns until the item is just a stick. The creator, worried about his inventions potential evil use, included a charm so that only those of 14 wisdom could equip it.

Flail
A flail is a wicked weapon, consisting of a spiked piece of metal attached to a chain, which in turn is attached to a handle which the wielder holds. The spiked metal, usually but not always a ball, is then whirled around in the air and smashed against the target with great force. Flails are not much use in small or confined spaces, but are very effective, particularly against metal armour, in spacious battle areas.

Little Lighting Bow
The Little Lighting Bow is a magical Elven artefact dating back many hundreds of years, possibly before the time of the Great War. The Elves, then quite primitive, had far more powerful knowledge of sorcery ,particularly that which pertained to the natural world, than they do today. In times of war, Elven Archers, equipped with the Little Lightning Bows, would stand at the edge of their forests and keep the demons who walked the world at bay with sizzling lightning bolts . When used, the wielder need only pretend to notch and fire an arrow to create a small but powerful bolt of sizzling lightning which zooms towards the target. Furthermore, the user gains a +5 bonus to their attack score with this weapon.

Two-Headed Strach
These weapons, a kind of axe, originating from the far South, where the land is dominated by an endless frozen glacier, are made only by the Barbarians who make that savage land their home. The weight of the axe is unlike any other weapon, being very heavy at one end and very light at the other. It has two blades, one angled slightly while the other is straight and sheer. Although anybody can carry and own one, only a Glacier Barbarian has the skill and ability to wield them. The complex patterns of the axe require special trainig not give to outsiders. Consequently, only a Glacier Barbarian can equip one.

Centaur Broadbow
A Centaur Broadbow is a huge and powerful weapon. Constructed by the hybrid race of Centaurs, these bows have far greater range and power than many hand-used weapons but are contructed and shaped for the large hands and great forearm strength of the Centaur. While some other races are strong enough to use the bow, the intricate skill of it's design is only taught to Centaurs. Consequently, only a Centaur can equip one of these weapons.

Long Sword
A long sword is the preferred weapon of many human fighters. Its design is such that it carries a medium weight and is therefore both easy to use and powerful when it hits. Nunchaku
The nunchaku are an ancient weapon usable only by Monks or those trained specifically in the skill of their use. The weapon dates back many hundreds of years to the original master of the open palm, known only as the Whispering One. Essentially it is a simple weapon, two wooden poles attached by a short length of chain. Monks learn to wield the weapon in an increasingly bizarre series of swings, loops and patterns by spinning the poles about, catching them in either hand and sending them spiralling through the air.

The traditional method of one of the ancient orders of monk, the Bo Staff is a classic short staff which, in trained hands, can be a fast and accurate weapon. Usable only by Monks.

Wooden Club
A wooden club is a lump of heavy oak or yew that has been shaped into a heavy bludgeoning weapon. It is usually thin at one end which is held but gets fatter as it goes further towards the "business" end. Clubs are one of the easiest weapons to use for a novice or somebody with blind strength and little else, but are seldom favoured by skilled fighters.

Wooden Staff
The Staff is a length of finely carved and weighted wood, which serves a number of useful functions. Firstly, as a simple weapon it is still effective with both range and defence capabilities. Monks and other martial artists have honed the use of the staff to a fine art, often using it in a blinding array of whirls and counter-moves. The staff is also useful as a balancing aid, and as a method of probing for safe areas ahead in uncertain places in a Dungeon.

Dagger

Curved Dagger
A Curved dagger is a special weapon which can only be equipped by Assassins. The use of the Curved Dagger requires several years of special training available only at the secretive Assassins Academy. The Assassin attempts to maneuvre themself behind their opponent and then plunge the dagger into just the right position to do severe and terrible damage to their enemy by penetrating vital nerve points or bodily organs, while avoiding protective bone and muscle. When using a Curved Dagger the Assassin fights at -20 on their Attack skill, but damage on a successful hit is much higher.

Scimitar
A scimitar is an exotic bladed weapon from the far East. It's blade is curved along the length with a uniformity of width and a single sharp edge. The styles used while fighting with a cutlass are unlike most bladed weapons and therefore have value against opponents because of their unorthodox techniques.

Short Bow "Trueheart"
'Trueheart' is a legendary bow which was made by the Wild Elves of the Great Northern Forest. It is unique. It carries a magical enchantment that makes it impossible to sell, although it can be dropped or transferred. Trueheart is a magical sentient short bow that lives to slay Evil races, but if used against good-aligned characters is grows resentful and may possibly teleport itself away.
When an arrow is fired from Trueheart a magical clap of thunder resonates around as the deadly missile streaks towards its target.
Users of Trueheart gain +5 to their Attack skill with it.

Short Sword "Snag"
The legendary Short Sword of the Goblins was, in fact, made by the great dwarven weaponsmith Serje. At some point the sword was disclaimed by the evil humanoids in a rare successful battle against the bearded folk and adopted as one of the icons of their race. The tribe which disclaimed the sword, Snag Tooths Horde, named the sword after themselves. Since then the whereabouts of the sword have fallen into question. The exact magical properties of Snag are unknown, but one thing is certain... it is one-of-a-kind.
