This is my 1979 Dodge project Truck
Overall, the cab and doghouse are not in bad shape. It's going to need new rocker panels and cab corners mostly. Also something needs to be done about the front bumper. On the plus side, the grill is the dual headlamp type which was only offered as a option in '79 and'80. The hood is in great shape although i like the 1978 and older style hoods better. I have access to several of those in rust free condition.
The bed slats are in good shape but as you can see, the wood is gone. Also the tailgate is missing, but i've found a mostly rust free one sitting around here. See the rust holes on the left side? Those were where the bolts for the rear fender was.(only 2 bolts are left holding the driver fender on) Bedside replacement may be necessary.  The engine bay mostly needs cleaned up and repainted. The broken heater fan shroud with the ducttape plastered to it will need to be replaced.
The seat needs reupholstered or replaced it has 2 seat covers and a blanket on it at the moment. The door plastic is not in bad shape but needs cleaned up and reattached to the door. The floor pans under the neat looking green carpet need replaced and that carpet has got to go. Both rear fenders are in awesome shape and the gas filler tube is still solid as well.
I'll post more pictures as i progress. My goal is not to have a perfect factory spec. truck, but just a nice clean pickup to drive back and forth to work.
