Celes used to be a General for the Empire's army but became a traitor after seeing the evil side of the Empire. She wants to put an end to the Empire and finds help from Locke and the Returners. She learns to trust other people so others can trust her.

Runic

Celes' Runic Power absorbs all magic spells and turns it into MP. Runic protects other party members but Celes must have a sword equipped to Runic. This is especially useful in places such as the Fanatics Tower where all enemies can use magic.
