Bayushi Shoju
Bayushi Shoju, our beloved former Clan Champion.
The most feared man of his age. Nobody knows what his face looks like,
except maybe his wife, Bayushi Kachiko and his brother Bayushi Aramoro.
He always wore a mask and he was never seen twice with the same mask on.
Shoju realized that many of signs of the prophecies of Uikku were coming true
and the end of Rokugan was at hand.
Bayuhsi found in the Prophcies that the Hantei line would cause thousand years
of darkness. For the good of Rokugan he attacked Otosan-Uchi and killed Hantei,
hoping to avert the Prophecy and avoid fate.
But the other Clans object to Shoju, murdering the Emperor and seizing the capital.
Shoju hoped that the Great Bear, Hida Kisada, Crab Clan Champion, would join forces with him.
Negotiations were made and in exchange for huge pieces of land, the Crab would join the Scorpion.
But Kisada betrayed him and defeat was imminent.
Shoju was killed in a duel with Akodo Toturi and Hantei the 39th took Bayushi Kachiko as his wife.
Later one of our shugenja, Soshi Bantaro, raised Shoju from the Dead.
But he was killed by Bayushi Tasu. His remains were cremated,
so that he may finally rest in piece, knowing that the Scorpion Clan once more did their duty
and that the Prophecies have been averted.
