I got this E-Mail on 1/19/99 from Sloppy Link. It is great trick that can get you more than 4 bottles. Give it a try. You can get more than four bottles, actually you can get 20 more bottles. First off, I'm not lying! You must have one bottle. Go to a underground cave, the ones with fish and bugs in them. Set your bottle with a "c" button. Go to the puddle of water and swing your bottle at the fish. While the bottles in the water, press start. Equip a different item where your bottle is equiped. Now when you get out of the item screen, you will have another bottle. If you have questions e - mail me. I GOT THE CODE FROM Brandon McKee. Yes, this trick does work. The only bad thing about it is that whatever item you switch with the bottle will be lost. HINT: Try switching with items that you don't need like Deku Nuts or the Slingshot. E-Mail Sloppy with any questions. |
Remember, all these are just rumors and probably don't work. Please don't E-Mail me asking how to get the triforce because I don't know. E-Maill the people who claim they got it.
I got this E-Mail on 1/25/99. This guy claims that he has the triforce. Read for yourself: I know how to get the triforce. No joke, this is what you will hav to do. First you need all 100 Gold Skulltulas. Also, you had to have beaten the game. The next step is hard because it takes so long. Blow up all of the gossip stones. That's right go around Hyrule and blow up every single Gossip stone or this trick will not work! After blowing up all of the gossip stones, Go to links house and once inside, play the Song of Storms on your Ocarina once. Now go to the lon lon ranch and go up to Malone. Next go to Kakariko Village and play the Song of Time inside the windmill. Now go back to Links house and Dark Link will be sitting on the table. Go up to him and play Saria's song. After talking with Dark Link, he will teach you "The Song of the Sages". Remember it because it won't appear on your status screen. Now go back to the Temple of Time and play your new song, The Song of the Sages, in front of the 3 spiritual stones. It will take you to the sacred realm. Go to Hyrule Castle and there will be a new rainbow bridge. Go up the bridge and you will see the Triforce. When you walk towards it, Ganon will fall from the ceiling. He will take all your weapons away from you and all you can use is your mini kids sword. It will take a while to beat him because he is so tough. After you beat him, you will walk up to the triforce. The original Nintendo Zelda music will play. If you want to know anything about it email me at z64temple@hotmail.com. When I first read this i couldn't believe it. It sounds true. If anyone has all 100 Gold Skulltulas, You gotta give it a try. I would but I only have like 60 something. E-Mail me if you try this and tell me what happens. Here is a picture of the Link's status screen. Notice anything different about it? The Triforce is all filled up like this guy actually got it. Is this just a forgery or is it true? Thanks for Cameron Tidd for finding this photo. UPDATE: I got E-Mailed something that proves that just is just a rumor. If you look at the picture, you see that he only has 76 Golg Skulltulas. But I thought that you need all 100 to do the trick? Unless the picture is from someone else, just could be just a forgery. Remember, if you hear anymore rumors or think you discovered it, E-Mail ME Does this really exist in the American Version of the game or just the Japanese Version? I got this E-mail on 1/29/99. Here is another guy who claims he got the triforce. Try it out if you have nothing better to do but it won't work. Here is the E-Mail: OK, ok. You thought that picture was a forgery? No.... It was not. I actually got the Triforce! First of all, let me mention a few things that guy messed up on: You do not need all 100 Gold Skulltulas! You do not need all 36 Heart Pieces! All you simply need to do is have beaten the game, have every item in the game, and YOU MUST NOT HAVE BEATEN DARK LINK WITH DIN'S FIRE! You need to kill him the hard way, with your sword. Now, return to your house after you have done all this and Dark Link will be sitting at your table. He won't be sitting there if you went to the Bottom of the Well after the Forest Temple! You need to go to the Bottom of the Well before the Shadow Temple! And, you need the Lens of Truth to see him. Whip out your Lens of Truth and you'll see him there. He will then teach you the "Song of the Sages" which does not appear on the subscreen. Make sure you remember it... It's supposed to follow the tune at the ending. Now, go to the Temple of Time and play the Song of the Sages. You will warp to this area with a big gray-blue box. Go up to it and play the "Song of Time." The box will burst open in a ray of light with the shiny, gold Triforce. The Triforce will be yours after that! All it does is it proves that you are the true Zelda Master! His E-mail was DUDE5567@aol.com UPDATE:12/29/99 I am sorry! I gave one piece of wrong information. After quick studying and going through the whole process again, I found out that you have to use your Lens of Truth outside of your house. You will see Dark Link standing there by the ladder and then he will teach you the Song of the Sages, then vanishes. HE WILL NOT BE INSIDE YOUR HOUSE! I am sorry for the inconvience I caused you all. Yes, I have also taken a picture of my screen with the Triforce lit up. I DID NOT, I repeat, I DID NOT forge this picture in anyway. I will get the film in two days and catch back up with you later. But, despite that false information I gave you in the last report, the rest of the information is right. If you have any other questions please email me. Why in the world do you believe getting the Triforce doesn't work? That picture wasn't a forgery because my screen looks the same way. Let me give you a little information about the glitches that are in Zelda: The Triforce is one of the glitches. The WHOLE storyline in the Japanese version is different from the American. You, in the Japanese version are supposed to find the Triforce! Not just defeat Ganondorf. Well you are supposed to defeat him, but there are no six sages. You are supposed to, however, go around in six temples to open the BIG huge gate to the Sacred Realm. I don't know if they have changed the storyline in anyway, but I know that the game was not just translated to english. So you see, this, I guess, might be a very well hidden Easter Egg put in there by Miyamoto. Or just a glitch? I will try to get more of these secret glitches and see what they do, which means to just explore, doing weird things. Hey man! This triforce thing really works. I know you might not believe this, but i tried what that guy said, and it didnt work, so then I went to a different site, and tried another way. It's pretty similar, except: 1) Apart from beating the game with all items, and beating dark link with your sword, you have to have over 50 gold skulltullas, so all the little kids are free, which explains why the guy on your site had 73 goldskulltullas. 2)When you visit dark link at your house, you have to play the nocturne of shadow, and not the song of storms. Then he dissolves and in his place is a blue warp thingy, which takes you to hyrule bridge, and than you face ganondorf. he's pretty easy, except he's way faster and takes about 7 of your hearts away with his special attack. His E-Mail was subzero@ozramp.net.au Remember these are all just rumors. I know most of them don't work. Please don't E-mail me asking me how to get the triforce because I have no idea. If you have a question, E-Mail the person who wrote me the e-mail not me. |
Here is an E-Mail I got on 2/2/99:First, you MUST have 100 skulltulas and all 20 hearts or the trick will NOT work! Now, go to the ice cavern and pick up 4 blue fires. After that, go to the temple of time as an adult, and set one blue fire on the pedestal of time. It'll play that one sound (like in the water temple when you change the water level). Then, go to Lake Hylia, go in the lab, put on your hover boots, hover over the box at the bottom, and drop a blue fire down there, this one is hard to do, but it works. After that, go up death mountain as a kid and go in goron city. Set a blue fire by the big clay pot at the bottom. It will always play the sound if you do it right. After that, go to your house as an adult. Meet Dark Link there, do NOT talk to him. Set a blue fire as close to him as you possibly can. If you do it, he will get mad and fight you again. He is MUCH harder, he does almost everything you do with every weapon (including dins fire!). After you beat him, you will get a special Red Flame, in all of your bottles, it melts blue ice! Now, you must use it in the EXACT right place! In Zora's domain, set it right in front of King Zora (down by the gossip stone just below him.) After that you talk to King Zora and he says "Thank you for helping us" and then all of the ice melts. And that is the only way (so far found) to unfreeze Zora's Domain) And the sage of water, comes out and thanks you by giving you a nice big kiss! I'll send the screen shot once I get the film His E-Mail was codeman12345@juno.com and he claims his name is Hugh Jass. I'm looking forward to getting this picture Hugh! -Matt. |
I got this E-Mail on 11/27/99. He discovered this trick that is useless but fun to try. I think that it's the biggest bug in the game. Here is the E-Mail: ...I can also get the fishing rod outside of the fishing pond. what you have to do is this. First go to the fishing pond. Equip the hover boots. Now run towards the water. You will actually be floating. Quickly come backwards while pressing the cast button. If it was done correct Link can run aound with the line casted. The cameras will be fucked up but make your way to the door. Now open it and walk to Lake Hylia. You will see that the fishing rod is equiped. This is useless trick because if you try it, everytime you try to cast the line, the game will lock up and you will have to reset it. But it is fun to try. He also attached this picture. |
If you have an empty bottle, stand in front of any cow and play "Epona's Song". The cow will feel energetic and fill your bottle up with Lon Lon Milk for free! |
First go to the fishing place at lake Hylia. Go to the little stream on the edge of the water. Turn and there should be three rocks. Go and walk in between the first and second rock.It will say you have snagged a sinking lure. This will help you catch lunkers to get the golden scale. Note: The sinknig lure is not always in the same place. Also check in the water one the rocks and on the branch. |
First, go to Kakariko Village and talk to the lady behind Impa's
house(the one that gives you the bottle as a kid for finding all of her
Cuccos.) Talk to her and she will give you an egg. Play the Sun's Song two times so that a day will pass, and a Pocket Cucco will hatch. Take it into the house somewhat near the entrance to the village, where you will find Talon asleep. Use the Pocket Cucco on him to wake him up. Now, go back to the lady and show her the Pocket Cucco. She will take it back and offer you Cojiro. Of course you want to take it! Now, with the Cojiro, go to the Lost Woods in the Kokiri Forest. As soon as you walk in, take a left and you will find the lady's brother. Show him Cojiro and he will give you the mushroom. Now you have to hurry or the mushroom will spoil and you'll have to try again! Head to Kakariko Village. Make sure it's daytime and head to the potion shop near the entrance to Death Mountain. Leave through the door on the left and enter the next house. Give the mushroom to the old lady and she will give you the Odd Potion. Now take the odd potion back to the spot where the Pocket Cucco lady's brother was. There will be a Kokiri girl in his place. Give her the odd potion and take the Poacher's Saw. Now, leave to the Hyrule Field and summon Epona with Epona's Song. Ride her to Gerudo Valley. Once you're there, speed up and jump over the gap between the two broken parts of the bridge. On the other side, give the Saw to the man there and he will give you the broken Goron's Sword. Take the broken Goron's Sword to the top of Death Mountain and show it to Biggoron, who is at the very top of Death Mountain near the entrance to Death Mountain Crater/Great Fairy's Cave. He will give you the prescription. Take the prescription to King Zora in Zora's domain (you must have unfroze him with blue fire, which you can get in a store or from the Ice Cavern) and show it to him. He will give you the Eyeball Frog. Now, quickly leave Zora's River and ride Epona to the laboratory at Lake Hylia. Remember, DO NOT WARP, or it will spoil automatically. Show the old man the Eyeball Frog and after finding out that it's for eyedrops, not dinner, he'll give you the Eyedrops. Quickly take the Eyedrops back to Biggoron on the top of Death Mountain(remember, don't warp!) Give them to him and he will give you the Claim Check. Now play the Sun's Song several times and revisit him. If he says he's finished give him the Claim Check and he'll give you Biggoron's Sword! |
In the fishing game as adult Link you can try to hook the fishing pond owner's hat. If you do you can try fishing with it but it will sink to the bottom and he'll charge you 50 rupees for it. It will stay down there too, and he'll be without a hat the rest of the game. |
Ever wonder what secret the harmless little butterflies are hiding that flutter about Hyrule? As young Link, take out a stick and find some butterflies. Slowly follow them until one touches the stick -- which, tadaaaa: turns it into a red fairy. Use a bottle to catch it or touch it to be healed instantly. |
Note: These are all early beta pics of Zelda64 when it was planned to be released on 64DD. But it is just fun to see how it could have turned out.
