Here you'll find strategies and tactics for each of the 3 classes in Diablo, and general strategies for all of the classes. Hope you can use this page for assistance!
Warrior
Cathedral:
At the beginning of the game, playing with the warrior is fairly easy.
- Make frequent trips to town for potions and to repair your equipment.
- Don't use the repair skill often since it brings down the durablility of the item.
- Use a sword and a shield.
Catacombs:
- Use a sword and shield.
- Try to get an item with fast hit recovery.
Caves:
It becomes a bit more difficult here.
- Use items that resist magic, lightning, fire etc.
- You may consider using a bow if there's a lot of flying demons.
- If Adrea is selling the spell of Fireball, buy it.
Hell
Here it becomes much more difficult
- Thin out bad guys, especially knight's by running away from them. Only a few of them will chase you. Hide behind a corner. Most of the time, they'll come one at a time.
- When there's succubi and advocates use a bow. A bow is a must when you're in Diablo's lair.
- Against Diablo, a sword and shield is the best fighting him.
- If your level's not high, and you don't have much money, start a new game with your character. Remember to keep all your money and good weapons.
Sorceror
Cathedral
- Use your magic a lot. Right now it's your only strength.
- Be VERY CAUTIOUS. If you don't think you'll win against an army of monsters, don't fight them.
- For low level characters, you may have to a new game repeatedly in order to get your stats higher and travel further down into the labrynth. I had to start a new game five times or more to get my sorceror high strong enough to survive.
- Save your money to invest in health potions, mana potions and books.
