nce upon a time, in
a land far, far away, a Great Man was born. A few years later, in a different
place, I, too, was born...
My name is Paleologos. John Paleologos. (what do you mean, "so what?"
???) I live in Athens, Greece, where I was born in 1972. I work for Kaissa , the leading game-store chain in Greece. I'm the Brand Manager for this company, with translations as my main objective, but I also work at sales.
How do I look like? You may ask. Well, my dear fellow, my hair is brown, I'm not very
tall, I'm not very thin, I'm not very handsome, I'm not very self-confident,am
I?
A very happy update: on June the 4th, 2005, I got married! Yes, dear friends, I finally entered the club of the Happily Married Men (with me, the club has now 1 member...). Her name is Vasilia, she's blond, she's thin, she has green eyes, and she's the smartest person I've ever met (that's why I married her!). When I'll find some time, I'll post pictures of our wedding...
My main
hobbies are Boardgames and Miniatures Wargaming, although I
prefer painting minis, rather than playing with them. I have special feelings for Heroscape, a game with painted (thank God) minis and modular hex terrain. I'm also very much into WH40k, Warhammer, Heroclix, Lord of the Rings and those old, now out of print, but great board games: Space Crusade, HeroQuest, Warhammer Quest, Siege of the Citadel and so on and so on. Until now,I have painted more than 300
minis, and played enough games to realise that I'm a VERY BAD tactician...I also
like good music, GOOD FOOD, drawing, reading comics, watching EVERYTHING Monty Python, long walks to nowhere with my wife, surfing the Internet, and sports. WATCHING sports,
that is, since I'm pretty bored (and kinda fat) to actually play any of
'em...
Speaking
of music, I must confess that I really like Moby. I have almost all of his discography, and always look forward to listening something new from this talented musician.I'm also a fan of the Prodigy. In fact,my username is based on the title of one of their coolest songs, Narayan. Add my name, Yiannis(that's the Greek version of John, believe me) to this, and voila. Do
you get the picture? Narayan + Yiannis =...
Well?...WELL??? Narayan + Yiannis =
Narayannis. GET IT?
Of course, Moby and the Prodigy are not my only music
preferences (and I DON'T want to have hair like
Keith Flint's). Actually, I like almost all kinds of music, although I must admit I
have very strong feelings towards electronic music.
Bored yet? No? Ok,let me tell you then about my third
(and last to cover in this page, I have better things to do that write THESE,you
know!) most loved hobby, drawing. I REALLY
like drawing. I'm drawing most of my spare time, usually funny sketches. I don't
know if people are right when they say that I do funny things, so check out my
sketches page(the link is listed earlier in this page) to see for yourself.
Comments, gifts, and job offers are always welcome :-) Two little
notes: a)Many of these sketches have Greek text. Sorry for this, I'll try to
make an English version as soon as possible... b)Some sketches show black and
white people engaged in all sorts of looney-dialog. Please note that I'm
NOT,repeat NOT a racist, and I have no intention to make
black, yellow, red, white, green, purple or any other people look strange. If I have
done so, please forgive me, but I did NOT do this on purpose.
Well,
that's it. I think I've told ya enough things
about me. (ENOUGH things? The only thing you people don't know about me by now,
is the color of my underpants!). If, after all, you still want to contact
me,(i.e. to ask me why I haven't thrown myself off a balcony yet)feel free to
e-mail me at little_idiot_boy@yahoo.gr. I have
thousands of stories to tell you,and then you'll need thousands of hours of
psychotherapy to restore yourself :-)
Read y'all later, John
I'm
wearing white underpants,by the way...
