Scot Hoover is a traveller, a writer, a gamer, an eccentric, and a husband to his new wife Penny Chen. Like most who would describe themselves thus he has too many hobbies and not enough time. His passport identifies him as an American, but since 1990 he has been spending most of his time in the confusing lands of Asia. He blames that on an annoying inability to find honest employment in his home country. Go figure.

Until recently, he was one of a horde of expatriates reduced to peddling their mother tongue to the innocents of Taiwan. Rather surprisingly he managed to cajol a sit down office job from the folks at Yang Din Ventilator Co, Ltd. in the position of "Foreign Accounts Department" There he remains to this day, ensconced in the exciting and at times dangerous Taiwanese construction industry.
