"Theorizing that one
could time travel within his own lifetime, Dr. Sam Beckett
stepped into
the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished .... He woke to find himself
trapped in the past, facing mirror images that were not his own and driven by
an
unknown
force to change history for the better. His only guide on this journey is Al,
an observer
from his own time, who appears in the form of a hologram that only Sam
can
see and hear. And so Dr. Beckett finds himself leaping from life to life, striving
to
put right what once went wrong and hoping each time that his next leap will
be the
leap home."
If you have never heard of the show Quantum Leap,
you need to wake up! This is one of my favorite shows. It is about
a scientist, Sam, who leaps through time, within his own lifetime, trying to
fix everything that has gone wrong--but the cool part is that he is "leaping"
within other people's bodies! Scott Bakula (Sam Beckett) does a great
job of acting like a little kid, a mother, a test monkey, and a pregnant woman
in some of his different leaps. Of course he couldn't have done this with
out the help of Dean Stockwell (Al Calavicci), who is a hologram "that only
Sam can see and hear". Al has a device that tells what had happened in
the past, where people are located at the time, who Sam is, what Sam is supposed
to fix, and much, much more.
