Better than salad and cleaner than soups, It represents four food groups. The meat comes from a slaughtered cow, They grind it up, don't ask me how. Mustard, ketchup, why not embellish? You can choose the condiment you relish. On top of that, a slice of cheese, Cheddar, Gouda, or whatever you please. For vegetables, you need not be fickle, Lettuce, tomato or even a pickle. Though onions taste like disgusting slop, Some people pile them on top. After that, then all it needs Is a whole-wheat bun with sesame seeds. But if beef is not your cup of tea, Well, the hamburger has such diversity! You can top it with whatever you wish, a breast of chicken, a filet of fish. A juicy slab of buffalo, And reindeer is not so bad, you know. And though they're made out of tofu, Veggie burgers are good fo you. The choice of meat is yours, of course, The French even use ground-up horse. Alberta beef's my choice, you see, To help the Canadian economy. But if you order fries, be sure to know That potatoes come from Idaho. The hamburger is the perfect food, Nice and simple, but hardly crude. It's quick to make when you're in a squeeze, And it doesn't smell like Cottage Cheese. You can fry it, or for something new, Cook it on the barbecue. You can eat them either here or there, For McDonalds is almost everywhere! Clearly, nothing can compare To the power of the hamburgere!
