Heroes: General Motors, General Electric, General Emissions and General Store
Enemies: Armsmaster Brontus, Armsmistress Vultura, Lady Draven
For this mission, our heroes play as 4 ranking Conventionals officer, thus the lack of their usual officers' reports.
The adventure began not in the O.C., but in the command tent of the Electran Conventionals, where Generals Electric, Motors, Emissions, and Store each waited for the man in charge: Gol Draam, field commander of the Conventionals.
After a bit of small talk, he did indeed arrive. Dressed in his heavy Electran armour, he told them the plans: they were to take back the city quickly, and that the Spherans would know they were coming. There would be two fronts. First, the armour columns would head straight up the main highway and attempt to crash the front gates of the city. Meanwhile, the infantry, with some armour support, would take the side route: up through the mountains. That route, while less obvious, would still be heavily guarded, he warned them. He advised them to gather their troops, and head out.
Convinced that the mountains, rather than the river, were the best way, Generals Electric and Store attempted to make it over, but met with resistance from Brontus' enhanced psychics and the blast grenades of the commandoes. Meanwhile, the artillerists seemed to want to take out the marksman, letting loose a volley of artillery that scraped them, but nothing else. The Electrans countered with fire from their SIRs, the heavy machine guns of the armoured cars, and massive volleys of fire from General Store's gigantic unit. After ten turns of combat, the Spherans, badly wounded, turned and ran into the city.
They were followed by the main group of tanks, including General Motors in his M1A1 Abrams. Of course, Motors had to have the biggest set of wheels, with a spacious interior, leather seating, air conditioning and all the perks. These tanks were so hefty that he didn't lose a single one, despite killing sixteen enemies. The Colonal was also a killing machine, frying people up until they were extra crispy.
However, despite all their efforts, Gol Draam still came away with the kills award. He slaughtered nineteen enemies with only a single casualty.
The Electrans' plan was simple: charge in, and use the sheer power of the armoured cars' machine guns to take out any embedded soldiers; in particular, the auto factory, with the one commando with 1 HP left (from the previous battle). Brontus attempted to hold back the cars as best he could, first using psychics, and then following that up with demo charges. Meanwhile, the other Spherans exchanged fire with the Electrans, but took more damage than they dished out. The auto factory was quickly and efficiently taken.
And with that, the adventure concluded. The units of the Republic playing in this adventure got credits in line with the number of troops that survived. The first front, led by Jag's and Reno's players (as General Motors and General Emissions, respectively), had 18% casualities. The second front, led by Keigo's and Pacci's players (Generals Electric and Store, respectively) had a slightly higher casualty rate, at 20%. In the end, the Shark Pack and Seigaku got 3 credits each, with the Boyo Scouts, the Pac, and the French Foreign Legion each getting 2 credits each.
