Heroes of the Republic

The following are the brave heroes - or as those in the know like to say, "Player Characters" - of the Res Publica campaign. Leaders of men and upholders of justice(?!), the fate of the Republic now lies in their hands.

Jenissa
Race: Electran
Rank: Platoon Lieutenant
Affiliation: Electran Special Forces

Jenissa is one of the young protagonists of the Res Publica Campaign. Dressed in an expensive, designer red and black uniform, with wavy brown hair and a gleaming, bejeweled Steeltek sword at her side, Jenissa is sure to make the Republic proud with her carefully groomed looks alone. Although capable of using both her sword and her pink-flamed psychic powers in battle, her most effective weapon is her cell-phone, which can be (and frequently is) used to call her daddy to bail her out of any predicament.

Zeke
Race: ??
Rank: Platoon Lieutenant
Affiliation: Electran Auxiliaries

Zeke is also one of the protagonists of the campaign, but it would be hard for he and Jenissa to look any less alike. A tall man with disheveled, light brown hair, he is dressed in a blue button-up shirt, khaki combat pants, black steel-toed boots, a flight jacket, a set of aviator's sunglasses and a pair of black leather gloves in the proud tradition of Hannibal Smith. All of his clothing is also covered with dirt, with various amounts of smearing depending on how formal the occasion is. Zeke wears a wheel on a silver chain around his neck, which seems to be the symbol of his unit. In combat, Zeke fights with both his rolling fists of street brawl and a predisposition for revenge.

Dust
Race: Denchuli
Rank: Platoon Lieutenant
Affiliation: Electran Conventionals

Dust is the first of the new generation of heroes of the Res Publica campaign, and he makes no bones about his foreign birth. However, despite his high praise for the forthrightness of the Denchuli character as opposed to the Electran one, he seems highly dedicated to the hard-working Conventionals, and openly disdains the pampered Special Forces. By all accounts, Dust is an expert gunman and marksman, and he leads a rather panicky but loveable squadron of his countrymen called the Boyo Scouts.

Jag
Race: Electran
Rank: Platoon Lieutenant
Affiliation: Electran Special Forces - Legal Division

While Jag is officially a member of the Republic Special Forces while out on the frontline, his true loyalty is to the Republic Legal Division, in his capacity as a military lawyer. Above all, Jag is a man who knows the law, and isn't afraid to unleash it on anyone who steps out of line. Naturally, Jag is also highly educated, with the high price of said education being one of his frequent topics of conversation. Like most lawyers, Jag is usually overworked and frequently has to work right through lunch. His squadron, the Shark Pack, shares many of the qualities of their leader. Indeed, whether it's on the battle-field or in the court-room, Jag and his men are out for blood. They can handle the truth, the only question left is, can you?

Atobe Keigo
Race: Electran
Rank: Platoon Lieutenant
Affiliation: Electran Special Forces

Like many members of the elite Special Forces, young Keigo fights with her own rather distinctive weaponry: namely, a tennis racket. While this implement is deadly enough when swung in a melee, it is even more devastating when flung around and used as a flame-thrower. The volatile Keigo seems quite fond of this latter maneuver, as well as with burning things in general. She is also a harsh task-mistress when it comes to commanding her unit, the Seigaku, which is quite understandable given their penchant for watching anime and reading mangas rather than attending to their ordinary duties.

Pacci
Race: Electran
Rank: Platoon Lieutenant
Affiliation: Electran Conventionals

The first thing one would likely notice about Pacci is that he's dressed entirely in bright yellow, and the huge yellow metal shield that he carries looks rather like a circle with a wedge taken out of it. The reason for this is that Pacci has been infused with the power of the classic Electran arcade hit, Pacman, and lives as its pure incarnation. He is also a loyal and stalwart member of the Republic Conventionals, and capable of striking incredibly cool poses. This latter ability is greatly admired by his platoon, the Pac, who, clad in their bright yellow Deluxe Uniforms, only wish they could one day be as cool as their leader.

Balarai Snowe
Race: Electran
Rank: Platoon Lieutenant
Affiliation: Electran Auxiliaries

Known for the most part as simply "the Snowe man," Balarai Snowe is a bronze-skinned man with long, snowy white hair, a green army trench-coat and a pair of Republic sabres belted at his waist. However, while his appearance may be somewhat striking, his work ethic certainly is not. In fact, Snowe seems to prefer to spend the majority of his time reclined on his back, occasionally making irreverent comments to anyone who makes the dubious effort to speak to him. His unit, the Avalanche, is aptly dressed in parkas and snowshoes and wields a powerful field mortar which can be used both to 'bury' their enemies and as an endless source of bad puns, in about equal quantities.

Jean Reno
Race: Chalchakian/French
Rank: Lieutenant
Affiliation: Republic of Electra, Auxiliaries

Known to many as 'the Professional,' Jean Reno is a bitter, bad-tempered Frenchman and member of the Republic Auxiliaries. Although he has a crack shot and a mean one-punch, neither are nearly as bad as either his attitude, or the coffee on this terrible planet of Electra. He leads the French Foreign legion, a squadron of foreigners that has quickly become as disgruntled and bitter as their leader.

Lord Flash!!
Race: Electran
Rank: "Lieutenant"/God
Affiliation: Republic Air Force (RAF)

It's hard to describe the great Lord Flash any better than with the single word of WAAAFF!! This expression is quite frequently used when Flash is punching someone out for no readily discernible reason, which is also a rather frequent event. Flash' main characteristic is his gargantuan ego, and his stalwart belief that he is God's gift to man. Or at least, he would be if he wasn't already God himself. Flash once had his own squadron of the 20-minuters, but all they did was stand around and stare at him, so he gave them a picture of himself and sent them home. As a member of the RAF, he is a daredevil pilot who can be seen flying his plane insanely low enough to participate in ground battles - because after all, he can't let the grunts have all (or any) of the glory.

Kabuto
Race: Spheran
Rank: Priestess
Affiliation: The Church of the Spheran Divine

What better place than the superstitious backwaters of Denchul to find an evangelizing priest of the formal order of the Spheran Divine? Accompanied by her devoted and zealous Shield-maidens, Kabuto was travelling the galaxy in search of wayward converts to her faith. The Gods had granted her with both a divine vision and powerful mystic abilities to perform this task. Although she served a higher power than the Republic of Electra, she was still up to the task of joining the heroes of the Republic to exorcise the evil and pagan superstitions they would come to face.
