The Great PK Debate.
There has been much talk on newmoon about what guild is the best at pking....and Im here to end this debate. I have more experience pking then anyone on NewMoon (over 600 kills most on other muds granted).
So here it is..the list: (assuming higher lever chars..300-600 or so with triggered reactions, a good prepared player can almost always kill another...some classes just make it easier)
DESTROYERS: Yes destroyers...a smart high level destroyer can kill any other character, although you must be smart and fast about some, with spells like blind, prayers like shatter, and holy power/amulet, they are unstoppable.
LEAGUERS: Drag, KO, Cripple, Strike, Frenzy...need I say more? A spell caster really shouldn't
be able to paralyze in time (takes too long)...nor do enough damage during that period to kill a fighter (of course this varies with the mage).
THE DARK SECT: Mages main advantage is to be able to pick the time and usually the place a conflict is gonna to begin (a huge pk advantage). Basically all the spell mage guilds are the same (since everyone has everyone elses spells)...but strickly spell school wise...Sect has the advantage in 1 on 1 combat.
THE COLLEGE: Same as Sect pretty much, Firestorm is a good weapon.
THE ACADEMY: Same as Sect, lightning is decent and summon/join teleport are huge.
RANGERS: Suprise, blurs, summons, and the ability to make potions/poultices are big for the rangers. If everyones awareness wasn't so high they'd be a match for some other guilds above them.
CHAOS KNIGHTS: A smart Chaos Knight can do fairly well now in combat, they have a few new sneaky spells, gonna have to continue to evaluate them. To be sure they still can't hold there own against a leaguer near they're level.
HEALERS: Lightning, Healing, and good summons..enough said.
TEMPLERS: See Healers.
THIEVES: Yupe, dead last. Every other guild after level 150 or so, will beat a PK thief every time (unless they are asleep at the keyboard and even then its a toss up), backstab becomes pretty useless because of the damage cap and everyone has awareness too high to do any real damage(or damage at all.
