Place of Origin: Planet Vegeta
Common Knowledge
They are a race of people who are natural warriors. They are generally "evil" in a sense. They once worked for the evil Freeza, conquering planets to sell for him. Freeza became aware that a Super Saiyan could one day arise and defeat him, so he took no chances and destroyed their home planet.
Originally it was throught that only 4 Saiyans had survived, but those numbers became greater as the news of Freeza's destruction at the hands of a Saiyan spread through the galaxy. Now there are at least 13 full blooded Saiyans known to still exist.
Government
They were once ruled by a King and Queen. After the planet was destroyed only one royal family member survived: Prince Vegeta.
Religion
Their religiion was unknown, as anyone who got close enough to ask was usually killed.
Common Abilities
All Saiyans are born with a tail. Their tail gives them the ability to transform into a giant Were-monkey called an Oozaru at the full moon. In this form, their Power Levels would increase ten fold. If they were to ever lose their tail somehow, they could no longer transform.
- Super Saiyan- This form is obtained when the Saiyan's rage sky rockets. Usually caused by the death of someone close to them, or extreme jealousy. Once the Saiyan just becomes consumed with rage and doesn't care about anything anymore is when it happens. In this form, the Saiyan's hair turns a white-ish gold and sticks up into spikes, and their eyes turn green. Their power level also increases dramaticly. (Note: After they have transformed once, they can do it at will.)
- Super Saiyan 2- This is usually triggered by the same thing as the first form, but it can also be obtained through training after gaining the knowledge that they can acheive it. In this form, the Saiyan's hair turns a darker color of gold and it gets just a little longer and spikier.
- Super Saiyan 3- This can be obtained in the same way as the other two forms. In this form, the Saiyan's clothes seem to turn gold, and thier hair becomes very long. Also, their eyebrows seem to disappear and their brows become larger. Their Power Level becomes even stronger than the other two forms.
- Super Saiyan 4- In this form, if the Saiyan has lost his/her tail, their tail sprouts again. They become coated in a red fur from their shoulders down. Their hair stays its natural color, but is often not in the same style. In this form, the Saiyans' Power Level becomes even stronger than in the previous forms.
- Golden Oozaru- This is the form when the Saiyan goes Super Saiyan while in Oozaru form, or goes into Oozaru form while in Super Saiyan. In this form, the Saiyan's power level is 10 times that of the SSJ form they are in at the time. The Oozaru's hair is golden. This is the form that the ancient Super Saiyan took. This makes the Saiyan almost god-like, for their is no force in the universe that could stop them.
Citans Sidenote: People that take their character as a saiyan, usually corrupt the ideal of SSJ and make it common.
Interbreeding
Saiyans seem to be able to interbreed with other races, making even an even stronger race than just one of the two alone.
