"Give all to love;
Obey thy heart;
Friends, kindred, days,
Estate, good-fame,
plans, credit, and the Muse-
Nothing refuse."
-John Greenleaf Whittler

"Then let wrath remove;
Love will do the deed;
For with love
Stony hearts will bleed."
-George Herbert

"The best ensue,
The worst eschew;
My mind shall be-
Virtue to use,
Vice to refuse,
Thus shall I use me"

I've always had a fascination with poetry and constantly read it and write it, so I built this site. I want this to be a place where people can go to publish a poem they came up with or enjoy reading other people's poems and maybe even find inspiration. Inside all of us there is a poet who can express thoughts and emotions through beautifully intertwined words that make up a poem. Being poetic is being able to say something so beautifully that it captures the person who you are talking to. I hope you will submit one of your own poems and read the works of fellow poets, of course I will be frequently entering my own works.

I would like to dedicate this site to all those who are searching for the one, the one true love.

"This man is freed from servile bands
Of hope to rise, or fear to fall;
Lord of himself, though not of lands;
And having nothing, yet hath all."
-Sir Henry Wotton

"Proceeded on with no less art,
My tongue was engineer;
I thought to undermine the heart
By whispering in the ear."
-Sir John Suckling

"Poets to come! orators, singers, musicians to come!
Not to-day is to justify me and answer what I am for,
But you, a new brood, native, athletic, continental, greater than
before known,"
-Walt Whitman
