And of course a link to Kyle's Quest main site.
This is Clockwork's website for his level "Arkham" and it's sequel "Arkham 2".They are both are based on the Cthulhu mythos as developed by H. P. Lovecraft. Arkham won the last Kyle's Quest level contest and unlike many of the levels is more a matter of an unfolding story and puzzles to solve than that of combat and overcoming monsters. Prepare for dark deeds in dark places!
The above is a link to Ron Forte's web site. The levels he has written are "Have Guitar, Will Travel" and the more recent "Adventurama" (see picture on the left) which won the recent level contest. In Adventurama you play the part of Foley, booted out by his dad and looking for adventure in distant parts. The special feature of this game is that you get to join one of four guilds. When you progress you then have a choice of three possible higher levels for each guild. Each guild offers different mini-quests to be completed and different weapons or spells depending on the role chosen. So playing the game a second time is a different experience! Ron has designed lots of the tiles himself. Look out especially for all the different people. There are tiles he designed for his level "Adventurama" (and also a map) available from his web site.
Ron is shortly to release a sequel to "Have Guitar, Will Travel" called "Righteous Song" (see picture on the right) and in the meantime has released an updated version of the original: "Have Guitar, Will Travel 2.0" (see picture in the middle)
The above is are links to Ken Self's family web site and his dedicated Kyle's Quest site. The pictures are from his two levels: Davilion and the recent sequel Circle of Seven. Both are classic style Kyle's Quest adventure with lots of monsters and a good storyline, mazes too! The Kyle's Quest site has a map for Circle of 7 and a FAQ (helpful if you get stuck!).
There are tiles from both his levels available for download.
The above is a link to Focke Stiekel's web site. He has recently brought out his first level: Luna-5. As you can see the graphics are quite excellent. The game has a good storyline as well that pays tribute to many of the SF greats. Look out for the references; see how many you can find. As well as the main story the game has a few asides if you look very carefully.
Focke is at present working on his second level: "Crypt". There is more information about this on his web site.
The above is a link to Chris Watling's site. He is the author of the newly released "Island Paradise?". You can download the level from his site and you will also find a map and a walkthrough. His aim in writing this level was do something a little different.
The above is a link to Doug's site. He is working on his first level which will be a traditional fantasy quest to rescue a damsel in distress from the clutches of an evil landowner, with a few twists and lots of puzzles.
The above is a link to the site of a new level writer - Aaron Biddlecom. He is in process of writing an exciting new level. Visit his site for more information. There is also a discussion page if you wish to make comments.
