Matt met a red haired chick called Jasmie, a girl he knew as one of his mother's friends through the link his mother and he 
share. Jas asked Matt to help her make her boyfriend jealous and they went searching for him, but couldn't find him. Matt suddenly went a different direction and when Jas found him again, he was on the block at the slave auction. Jasmie asked him what he was doing up there as the guard was shouting out "fine young warrior, going to a mistress for 100gp" When Matt corrected the guard and told him to start at 200gp Jasmie realized Matt put himself up there and started laughing. Matt had the guard sell him to Jamie and then paid for himself as Jasmie was shouting how she didn't want Matt for the guard to take him back, unknown to her though Matt had already paid the guard 400gp just to play along.
Jasmie bought another slave, and got mad at Matt for trying to buy cute young girls in her name. The other slave, who's name is Eros, Jas, and Matt all went to a tavern where Jasmie tried to set Eros free. Matt and Eros started to argue with her that she couldn't just buy slaves to set them free, cause they'd be caught again and resold. Jasmie was getting very mad so when another told Jasmie she'd buy Matt, Jas gave Matt to her. The other person was really gonna take Matt, despite that he keep trying to tell her he wasn't a slave cause he paid for himself. Jas and Eros attacked the other woman, she let Matt go about the time Dulcy showed up, so Matt left the slave master, the angry Jasmie, and his new friend Eros to leave with Dulcy. For the first time in a really long time Matt had a game backfire on him and has decided not to play that one again.
King Reddrick passed a new law that all free centaurs in Korali be arrested and enslaved. Matt is now under orders to do that as a Captain of the Guard, but what he won't tell his king is that he thinks the centaurs have a right to their own land.
Matt no longer carries that zatochi as his soul now rests inside of a gunblade carried by one of his fellow members of GhostS, Nick Corwin.
Prince Joshy is missing and Matt is in charge of the search, and at the same time he ran across the old first mate to the pirate ship Sea Web, the very ship he is looking for with orders to arrest the whole crew and bring Arachne and Shady in for questioning. He hopes very much to run into Aelix again, for he thinks she is really hot.
Moved out of the Banshee and into his family castle only to move out again after Epona attacked Jeremy and Blair. Rayven thought about committing suicide which he found later to have pissed off Matt, because if Rayven dies so does everything in a 100 mile circle. Rayven would have killed Korali if he had done it.
Was kidnapped by Shalina, his brother's griffon, in a plot by the griffon to use Matt as bait to trap Epona. The trap worked and after locking the nightmare queen in a light sphere, Shalina left Matt alone to find his own way out of the mountains. Matt ran into Lark at a waterfall. Well she ran into him and pushed him in the river. He followed her to the Banshee where he saw Aelix again. Then he followed Lark to another river thinking she was drunk or intended to hurt herself and was going to stop her. She stole his sword. After a few hours of searching he found her with Amy's help and got her to tell him where his sword was. He sent a guard to go get it, but Lark got away and went to get it as well. Matt went to check on his guard and found him dead in the spot the sword had been hidden, he assumed Lark did it since she had been there after the guard got there.
Matt put the city into a lock down to catch the murderess thief but she had help from Rayven who knows all of Matt's weaknesses. Lark and Rayven captured Matt and took him to Notica. Queen Karandora took an interest in Matt, but almost killed him twice before finally letting him go a week later.
Matt killed the healer girl who put the light halter on Epona and set his friend free. He told her of his women troubles.
Epona attacked Sunet but was called off suddenly with Matt by Moonshade. Shortly thereafter Rayven turned evil again. Later that day Matt ran into Lark who had been beaten and raped. He helped her and even bought her a new dress.
Moonshade is back in the body of Kayleen and one of the first things she did after she got back was to capture and torture Matt, trying to make him tell her where Nick was. He didn't tell, for the reason they are after Nick is they have to go through him to make Matt evil, as Nick is the wielder of the sword Matt's soul is in. Just before that happened Matt and Deekin set about to find warriors to wear the Slayer armor. Matt gave a set of the armor to Lark, but now he wonders if she will be more loyal to the case of good, or to Rayven.
Everything is a bit still, too still for Matt's tastes, it's like the calm before the storm. He can feel the build up of power but isn't sure where it's coming from or which side it will be on, like when he felt Deekin come into this time line, he knew something happened he just didn't know what. His power has seem to grown to a level that the body he is in will never be able to wield it, so he either must kill the body or reproduce. He chose to have a child and asked the bar maid Milli to be the mother. That same day, the sorcereress Ramina Takara stepped back into his life. Didn't he tell her to stay away?
Matt has left Korali and Ayenee altogether with Milli and Cythia to go look for Blanca, his new wielder. He carries with him the extra set of Slayer Armor to give to the hyper sphinx. Moonshade has contacted him and told him Nick and Ramina also left, to go find and help Matt.
The group of adventurers did find Blanca, only it was about the time there was a Silencing Disease breakout in Crimea, and wouldn't you know that's where the sphinx was. The Silencing Disease attacks the magic in the blood of the magical races. It kills within three weeks of coming in contact with the disease. When the group found Blanca she was already getting sick, which made the rest of them get sick as well. Blanca died in Matt's arms and then on the way back to Ayenee, Nick died on him as well. The good news is the the girls bonded on the way back. Ramina used her skill with herbs to help Milli and the baby and Cythia too did what she could for Milli. By the time they got back to Korali Matt was too sick to do much of anything and the girls didn't even bother fighting over who got to heal him. They pleased him much more than he'd let them know by getting along- of course he likes the fighting too, boosts his ego.
The cure was found and everyone is safe again, but no one is the same. That was early in 2000.

"Since then -not sure when, maybe during the month of November- I saw another fight at that same tavern. I was about to get Amberyl out of there when suddenly the fight was over. One of them was stone and the other sat back down at the bar to have a drink. It was really a much duler day, then again I guess I say that because I wasn't being attacked."
