Matt loved the Screaming Banshee so much that at one time he lived there. Even after he moved out he was always going back again to hang out, enjoy himself, and chat it up with his best bud, Rayven. Rayen got married and had to leave town so he decided to sell his share of the tavern to Matt, now Matt owns half the Screaming Banshee and has a good reason for being there all the time.
