Welcome one and all to The Burnt Mystic's Home Page!

This homepage and all its contents are in reference to StarCraft Brood War, and more specifically the Burnt Mystic Clan, who are a group of battle.net players.

The Burnt Mystics are an obscure group of outcasts who for one reason or another sought refuge on the abandoned planets of Tcharic, Gharm, and Mal Katha. The first known inhabitants of these barren waste lands were a mixed group judicators and dark templar conspirators who attempted the forbidden. They sought to join their powers and tap into the Overmind consciousness in order to disrupt its control over the lesser Zerg.

The same day that Tassadar destroyed the colony of Chau Sara, fifty of their number gathered in the forests of Aiur and began their ritual. One Judicator was absent... the one who betrayed them to the Conclave.

Just as the rebel group of judicators and dark templars established connection with the Overmind a force sent by the Conclave interrupted their "Foolish and Evil" plans. The delicate psionic web they had woven collapsed sending ripples of Zerg tainted energy through their bodies. The results were unimaginable...

Most lost their lives to the psionic storm that ravaged the jungle. Others became mutated, growing barbed spines, chitinous carapaces, and other Zerg like appendages. Some lost their noble hearts, their souls becoming twisted, and primal. Only a few emerged unscathed.

Unscathed or not, all the survivors of the conspiracy were rounded up into shuttles and banished to the desolate wastes of Tcharic. They were the first of The Burnt Mystics.

With the destruction of the Overmind, and the appearance of the UED, others began to arrive on the planets. The first were infested terrans who, once free of the Overmind, regained a semblance of intelligence, and were drawn to this dark corner of space. Then came the scattered remenants of Mengsk's army, seeking a place to hide and plan, in what they believed to be a deserted region of the galaxy. They were followed by some cerebrates who had managed to gather a few of their underlings and escape in the massive ventral sacks of overlords.

The Protoss outcasts, despite their now obvious differences, had managed to forge a delicate alliance by this time. Slowly the more pure of heart reasoned with the Terrans, and convinced them, that together they could build a new civilization. Even more slowly, the corrupted Protoss negotiated with the Cerebrates and they too were brought into the fold

And so The Burnt Mystic Clan was complete, if hardly stable. Each faction would aid the other if it suited their purpose. Each faction was equally willing to pull another to peices for an ounce more of power.
