Cyrus Huneycutt: What is GameShark?
GameShark is a video game hacking device that goes between your N64 and game. It can control the data that flows from the game to the N64. It does this by changing the factors that make the game work (variables). You give GameShark a code, an 8-digit number followed by a 4-digit number, and it tells it to alter some specific data that goes through it. It can do a lot of strange things. - OJ
Trisha: How do you get to the Cheato spellbook at Rusty Bucket Bay?
Go to the third water switch. Stomp it and a timer will appear. Quickly swim into the next room. Near the surface there is a tunnel in the wall. Hurry into the tunnel and Cheato is at the other end. - OJ
John: Is Banjo-Tooie still under construction(and fast thinking
moments, if you know what I mean) by Rare, as it is probably going to
be released around the middle of summer?
I don't work for Rare, so I don't know for sure. But I'd think that they'd still be working on B-T. Thanks. - OJ
Stephanie: How do you drain the water around the sandcastle in Treasure Trove Cove?
On a ledge above the water there is a bucket named Leaky. Go to him and drop two eggs in him. Voila! - OJ
John: I've heard that someone got the ice key WITHOUT Gameshark. Is this true?
Well, I don't know. I don't think that would be possible. - OJ
John: Will the 'X' barrel in Mad Monster Mansion make any
difference in either Banjo-Kazooie or Banjo-Tooie?
Nobody knows. It's possible, though. - OJ
Team Bulba: You can really get to Sharkfood Island? What code do you use?
Hmm... I think there is a GameShark code that opens it, but I don't think you can get the egg. Sorry, I don't know the code. - OJ
Kevin Knezevic: Is there anything besides the Gobi's Valley puzzle and the
entrance to Mad Monster Mansion in the giant volcano-like room?
Yes, there is. Follow the path past the Mad Monster Mansion entrance and you will come to Brentilda. I'm guessing you already found her. There's something else there, though. Near Brentilda there is a small tunnel, much too big for Banjo. Go to Mad Monster Mansion and turn into a pumpkin. Then, leave the spooky place and return to the small tunnel. The Pumpkin's small size allows you to go through the tunnel, and you'll find a surprize on the other side... - OJ
Kevin Knezevic: After I've rescued Tooty in "Grunty's Furnace Fun" I
checked back in Banjo's house, and she isn't there! Do you know where
the heck she is?!
Fact is, nobody knows. She doesn't appear in the game after you rescue her, besides in videos. Sorry, I hope that answers your question. - OJ
Scout: WE can't figure out how to get into Clanker's Cavern. Can you help?
Sure thing. Here's how to do it. Start on the floor that has Grunty painted on it. Turn the camera so that it looks like she's facing you. Walk diagonaly forward and left. You should see a platfor coming out of the wall. On it is a Shock Jump pad. Shock Jump up and there will be a crevasse in the wall that has the Clanker's Cavern painting in it. Complete the painting. Then, enter the room with the waterfall. Jump on to the very top of the pipe that the water is coming from. Flap-Flip up from there and there will be a tunnel. Go through the tunnel. On the other side there is a room with a lake between you and the entrance. Follow the wall to your right. You will fall down on to a switch. Pound it in, and a way across will appear... - OJ
Alyssa: How many Mumbo pics are there? Can you show them to me?
There are three different Mumbo pictures. And no, I can't show you them. They're actually little movies. Each one shows a little movie. So, I can't show them to you. You'll just have to convince Mumbo... - OJ
Alyssa: Is there a code for unlimited honeycomb?
Well...no. There isn't a code for unlimited honeycomb energy. The closest the codes get is a honeycomb upgrade that gives you 8 spaces with out collecting all the extra honeycomb pieces. Sorry. - OJ
Nick Glimenakis:Hi, it's me, Nick Glimenakis! I have just 1 question. I've beaten the game of Banjo-Kazooie but I still have 2 Puzzle Pieces. How do I get rid of them????
You can't use your two jiggies now. Perhaps they hold the secret to Banjo-Tooie... - OJ
Brad: Can you tell me where I can find a good map of Gruntilda's Lair on the Internet?
Sure, Brad. you can find maps for Grunty's Lair and almost everywhere else at "http://www.angelfire.com/ia/bkazooie/maps.html". - OJ
Chase: Can you go into Sharkfood Island?
There is a GameShark code that allows you to go in, but I don't think you can get the egg with that code. Other than that way, you won't be able to get in until Banjo-Tooie comes out. - OJ
Spikiehead: I've heard that you can get the ice key without playing
Banjo-Tooie, is this true?
Yeah, you can. Go here, a page on my other site, "OJ's Banjo-Tooie", for more information. - OJ
Adam: I got all 100 jiggys in da game, but when I go to Mumbo he turns
me
in to a animal but doesn't show me any pictures about Banjo-Tooie! Where
do I find him?
To view Mumbo's pictures again with 100 jiggys, just jump into Dingpot, the cauldron that shoots you to the final Grunty battle. - OJ
Steven: Does anything happen when you get all 900 notes?
No, I don't think so. It's probably just a nice goal to try to get. 100 jiggies and 900 notes is a way to show that you mastered the game. - OJ
Adam: When you fight the Witch how many times do you hit her? And what are in
the other two note doors?????????????????????? I got the big egg note door!
1. When you fight Grunty, you go through a series of stages. First, she'll swoop down on you. Get out of her way, and Rat-a-tat Rap her when she stops. I think it takes 4 times to get past that part. Next, she'll hover out over the edge of the tower. To get her, hit her three times with eggs. When you hit her with egg #3, she'll move to a different place. I think she moves around 4 times. Then, she'll take off into the air. A flying pad will appear. Beak Bomb her around 3-4 times. Then, she'll go to the center of the field, and a force-field will form around her. That's where we come in. Four jinjo statues will appear in the corners. Shoot eggs into the hole in front of each statue until the statue starts to fall apart, revealing a jinjo. The jinjo will yawn, circle around Banjo, and fly into Grunty. Do this with all of the statues. When the last one hits, Grunty's broom will explode, leaving her sitting on the edge of the arena. Soon a large jinjo statue will appear in the middle. Shoot eggs into the holes in each side of the statue until the opening closes. When that happens, go to the next. Finish all of the holes, and the "Jinjonator" will be activated. Watch the video, YOU'VE WON!!!
2. Here's what's behind the note doors around Dingpot.
828 - Free refill egg
846 - Free refill red feather
864 - Free refill gold feather
882 - Super energy bar picture, fill it to get double energy bar
Adam: In Click Clock Wood I watered the flower in Summer and Fall, but I can't get the jiggy. I tried to climb it but I can't get on the blue buds.
To get the jiggy, climb the tree and go to the beehive. Don't go in. Walk straight off the end of the beehive where the hole you went in as a bee is. You will land on the bloomed flower. - OJ
Kyle: Is there a cheat that doesn't use Gameshark that gives you infinate jiggies?
No, I'm afraid there isn't. (Unless Rare has something they're keeping quiet about...) - OJ
Unknown: When is Banjo-Tooie going to come out?
I don't know. Rare hasn't released the official date yet. It will probably come out in late '99. I hope it comes out soon, though. Sorry. - OJ
Albert64: In Treasure Trove Cove, does the tiny island near an extra life on a crate with the sign on the island serve any purpose?
Excellent question! Yes, if serves a purpose. If you get all 100 jiggies in the game, Mumbo will show you some pictures that tell about secrets in the game that you will find out how to do in "Banjo-Tooie". Banjo-Tooie is a fun way of saying Banjo-Kazooie-Two. In the pictures, "Sharkfood Island", the island you described, rises out of the water and turns into a cave. You'll find out the purpose of the cave in Banjo-Tooie. Here is a screenshot of how Sharkfood Island will look. Thanks. - OJ
