Physical Description: Drachen is what he chooses to be. The man you see in the mirror before you turn, and he is gone; the small child on the street who asks for candy. When in his 'normal' state, he is seen as a man clad in a leather body suit from head to toe, his hair swept to over his right eye. He has great, black wings of gossamer about his back, for he is a fallen angel. His hands are clawed and his teeth fanged, his eyes forever scarlet, the punishment for his rage after having left Firmament. He wears a armguard on his right arm, crafted of his own design.

Group/Afilliation: None. Drachen allies himself with whomever he wishes.

Brief Character History: The highest of the Archangels, Drachen was second only to Serra herself. He so wanted to take her place as the leader of the angels, and had every prerequisite to do so; only Serra remained, and he was to remain loyal to her. For most of his time in Firmament (the ethereal name for what we have termed 'heaven') he was a warrior angel, fighting to defend Altair, the Father of the Gods, from Saegil, God of Chaos, Altair's evil son.

Tired of war and fighting, Drachen refused the order to fight against Saegil and his minions. Serra knew of his dislike of war, and pleaded with the All-Father to exclude him from the war. Her pleas fell upon deaf ears.

Altair, knowing that there was more to things than just not wanting to fight, expelled Drachen from Firmament. So enraged was Drachen that he rose to attack the All-Father. Moving into the path of the infuriated angel, Serra, Queen of the Angels, sacrificed herself for her God, giving more into faith than to herself.

A great cry broke out in Firmament; the Queen of the Angels was slain. Drachen looked down to his Queen, and tears, something not seen of Drachen for centuries, welled up in his eyes at what he had done. Tears of blood streaked down his plaeding face, wishing for her ressurection.

Saegil, seeing Drachen and knowing of the pure rage that resided in him, gave him a streak of evil intent. Blaming Altair himself for the Great Accident, Drachen again charged at the All-Father. With a word, Drachen was halted by a power so strong that none could withstand it.

Stars, then shapes, then light. Reborn in the Middle Realm (the place between Firmament and the Underworld), Drachen's purpose here is to learn humility, and about the cultures and customs of the Middle Realm. Of course, he has his own agenda.
