Personality

Gornul is a Dwarf standing 3'6" tall. He has a short, scruffy beard, brown eyes, and an air of humor about him. He is almost always grinning at something, a trait which tends to raise the spirits of those nearby. He generally is a peaceful fellow, content to follow his friends around and drink any ale that happens to be nearby. However, point him at a threat to the Empire, and he'll remove its legs.

Gornul's family is in Zerdargia. He was an only child, but had many friends to compensate. His father, Morty, was a merchant with dealings throughout the Centripax and Prime provinces. When he was old enough, Gornul began helping his father with the business, and so has been all over Centripax many times. Because Morty dealt with members of all races, he never developed the stereotypical Dwarven distrust and dislike for Elves. Gornul, consequently, also has no prejudice against Elves; in fact, some of his best friends are Elves.

History

When he was old enough to leave home, Gornul wandered around for a while, seeing more of the world than he had when travelling with his father. Eventually, he ended up in Prime, where an old business associate of his father gave him a small house to stay in. After a few weeks in Prime, Gornul found a recruiting center for the Alyssan Academy in Midpoint. Intrigued, Gornul signed up.

When Gornul arrived, he was assigned to the cadet squad Kappa, along with the others who had signed up in Prime. During his time at the Academy, Gornul had quite a few adventures. Two of his fellow cadets were kidnapped, and he helped rescue them. He narrowly escaped death beneath the city's cemetary along with another cadet, Drakmor.

His time at the Academy with the rest of Kappa forged them into a team, bonded closer than family. Gornul considers Kappa the brothers and sisters he always wished he had. When Gornul and the rest of Kappa graduated from the Academy, they were bestowed with the ranks of Sergeants, the highest rank a graduating class at the Academy had ever received.

After graduation, Gornul and the rest of Kappa headed to Natura, where they assisted the local Guard in a raid on a warehouse owned by the elitist Elf group, the Elder Circle. Several Kappa were wounded in the battle, but in the end, good prevailed.

After staying in Natura for a while, Gornul wandered around, not really going anywhere. He eventually found himself back at Prime, where he met up with the rest of Kappa again in the Crown Inn. From there, Kappa headed to Daltina, where they were nearly killed by a group of undead while praying at a run-down church about an hour outside of town. Darkscorpion was nearly killed, and Gornul, thinking his friend was dead, smashed the evil apparition that seemed to be directing the actions of the skeletons.

Gornul participated in the Battle of Port Alyxandria, though his memory of the events of the battle is hazy. After the battle, Gornul headed with Danil to New Coldmoon for a few days, and then to Paxia, where he trained in Elementalism. After reaching the Initiate level, Gornul departed again, feeling his wanderlust calling him to the open spaces of the Empire once more.

Months later, as winter began to fall, Gornul found himself returning once more to Midpoint. The city had apparently been attacked. Gornul found himself meeting his old friends from Kappa once again. As always happened when Kappa met up, Gornul felt a growing sense of doom. For when Kappa got together, trouble seemed to follow.

Gornul's story, for now, ends here. As more of this Dwarf's life is roleplayed, this section will be updated.
