Gold Rush

An influx of gold in Tamriel is believed to have originated from Sentinel, and people from all over Tamriel have gone to try their luck in the dig for more gold. The desert is sprinkled with camps of gold-diggers, but only a handful of lucky villians have found anything substantial. Disappointed at finding nothing, some crazy "diggers" killed a few innocent bystanders. We'll be reporting as the situation progresses.

Barkeep arrested

Dark Brotherhood attack in Scome

The barkeep of The Restless Djinn in Daggerfall was arrested by city guards as he tried to smuggle a box full of illegal drugs out of the city. His escape was foiled by a sword blow from a city guard. The heavily injured smuggler is now recuperating in Daggerfall hospital. Judges are undecided as to his sentence: capital punishment or imprisonment. We will be giving another report as soon as updates to the situation become available. An innocent townsman was killed in Scome last night as he was on his way to meet his girlriend. The murder weapon, a thrown knife, is believed to be the work of the Dark Brotherhood. Their motive for this killing is as yet unknown.

New taxes released

Oghma Infinium recovered

The property tax hike planned for Daggerfall has finally been released. It is now confirmed that the 10% increase is here to stay. The people now have to pay 44gp for every square foot we live on; quite a hefty sum for a poor farmer. The old, mystical and quite valuable tome known as the Oghma Infinium is now safe once more. The guards were alerted to the presence of a suspisious stranger, and later found out that he was a member of the Thieves Guild. Under torture, the member revealed the location of the local guild building, which the guards stormed. Besides the recovery of the book, all Thieves Guild members in the building were also arrested.
