TauntsDuring online game play, you have the ability to send a voice message to all other players. These taunts are pre-recorded WAV files that exist on each player's computer. You can send a message by pressing ALT and a number key (0-9). Use the numbers across the top of the keyboard. The following chart shows all the available taunts. By modifying a text file on your computer, you can select which ten messages you will send to the other players. The demo version only includes the first ten messages.
Modifying your messagesTo change the messages that you send to the other players, you need to modify the TAUNTS.TXT file. You can find this file in the outwars\voices\taunts directory. This file contains two sets of keyboard/message assignments. One set is for the female voice (Judd), and one is for the male voice (Jett). Each set contains ten lines, and each line represents a keyboard number (0-9) and the taunt message number (see above chart). For example, choose a message from the above chart, and then decide which ALT-key combination will send the taunt. Assuming you want to send message 47 when you press ALT-0, you would need to change the last line in the file from "JETT_T0 32" to "JETT_T0 47". Don't forget to save your file!!!
