Frog- Frog is, well, a frog! He is actually Glenn, a young boy who was a friend of Sir Cyrus. He wasn't in the army, and never believed in himself being a warrior. He was there when Cyrus fought Magus, and Cyrus died. Afterward, the no-brain Ozzie asked Magus to give him a more fitting form - so Magus did. Being a "spineless wimp", as Ozzie said, Magus turned Glenn (a.k.a. Frog) into a frog! He then sought revenge on the one who did this to him, and killed his best friend. Frog is a great character to have with you, simply because he talks in Olde English, (yes there's an e at the end of old) which can really spruce up conversation!
Frog has awesome attack power, and often gets critical hits. He gets the all-powerful Masamune, which is good, but once you power it up... it's awesome. When, and ONLY when he has the Masamune, you should equip the Hero Medal, he now has at least a, 70% chance of critical hit. His defense it great, but his magic, next to the two that have none, (Ayla and Robo) is terrible, though his Magic Defense is good, and he has decent speed, you may want to consider using him!

Robo - A robot from the year 2300! He uses different arms to attack his opponents, which is quite strange! He always seems to grab his head when he thinks. He didn't remember that he was supposively made to destroy human intruders. Later, however, he learns his true purpose - to live with humans, study them, so robots can destroy them! He learns emotions from Lucca, and will learns the good side to human nature. His real name at first is R66-Y, but later learns from Atropos his real name is actually Prometheus!
Robo has good attack and defense, but not so good tech, but his Lazer Spin is ok, and his magic defense is none-the-better! He has slow speed, even after you get Atropos' Ribbon! He talks somewhat weird, so we may want to hear him, but it's not worth the sacrifice!

Ayla - A primitive female who is from the year 65,000,000 B.C. ! Wow! Now that's primitive! She is apparantely good-looking, as she can use her good looks to swipe an item from the enemy! She has a crush on Crono. When she first met him, well, lets not go there. She is the leader of the Ioka Tribe, and wants to find the Laruba Tribe, so they can team up against the Reptites! However, the Laruba Tribe just runs away. She DOES find them, but the Reptites burn the village of the Laruba Tribe! She joins the group when Kino takes the group's Gate Key! Hmmm... does anyone think it's weird that a girl so primitive has smooth legs? And how did she and her tribe now what guns were?
Ayla is one of my favorites! For one, like Frog and Robo, her dialect can spruce up conversations! She is very powerful, and at level 96, on a critical hit, will do 9999 points of damage! Her defense is awesome, and her Magic Defense is pretty good. She has awesome health, but, alas, no magic. (Not even a Tech that does a certain type of magical damage!) Her Tech's are still awesome, though! She can steal with her Charm Tech, and I definately, strongly suggest you use her!

Magus - Magus is actually from The Kingdom of Zeal! His real name is Janus, and he was a kid who's only friends were Alfador, his cat, and Schala, his sister! He never really amounted to much, because they all thought that he had no magic, or very little. When Queen Zeal awakened Lavos, he tried to see Schala, and got sucked into a time portal! Hethen went to where you find him, in 600 A.D., and got adopted by Ozzie. He built a castle, and everyone thought he was trying to kill all humans, when he was actually just trying to stop Lavos! Talk about misunderstood! He killed Cyrus, and turned Glenn into Frog, so he was pretty mean!
I think Magus is awesome! He gets the DoomSickle, which is awesome, and he has good attack power. His Magic and Magic Defense are probably the best in the game, and he hasdecent speed. His defense, is kinda poor, but not so bad. You can not let him join you, if you fight hime the second time. (Mainly because he's dead!) This can change the ending. You should let him join you, though eventually you may want to see Frog kick his butt!
