SWSC Strategic Structure

In order to facilitate command and control (C & C) during battle, Star Wars Southern Command is structured into Fleets, Flotilla, Wings and Squadrons, such that Fleet Commander will have more power and command over more pilots than Squadron Commander. The commnaders are known as Field Commanders.
The most basic fighting unit consist of a Pair, so that one pilot will fight along side his/her wingman.

Two Pairs will make up a Squadron, commanded by a Squadron Commander, thus meaning that there are 4 pilots in a Squadron.

A Wing is made up by 3 Squadron and commanded by a Wing Commander. The Wing Commander will have a second-in-command (Executive Officer or XO) who is hand-picked by the Wing Commader from his Wing. The Wing Commander will have his own Squadron too, which includes his XO and 2 other 'senior' pilots. This means that there are 4 Squadrons in each Wing.

The Flotilla and Fleet is organised similarly, as shown below:

Wing
No. of Squadron: 3 (excluding the HQ squadron)
No. of pilots in a Wing: 12 (excluding the 4 from the Wing HQ squadron)
Wing HQ Squadron composition:
Wing Commander, Wing XO and 2 x Wing Pilots.

The Squadron consist of Squadron Commander and his XO, with 2 x Squadron Pilots.
