Star Wars Southern Command Staff Officer appointments are grouped into two categories to ensure operational readiness and includes

Executive Council Command Appointment, and
Field Command Appointment.

Executive Council Command Staff
As a EC Saff, you will sit on the Executive Council and be responsible for policy decision, strategic planning, mission design etc. To start off, we are looking for 4 highly committed individuals. You will be expected to turn up for all the meetings (via IRC) and take your responsiblity seroiusly. The Executive Council is presided by the Grand Admiral.

Admiral (Operation): Responsibilities include planning schedule for our attacks! You will have to liason with the Field Command Staff on the schedule decided by the Executive Council and to report to EC on the battle shedule planned by lower echelon, ie Squadron, Wing, Flotilla and Fleet. In effect, you have to be the person that everyone go to for the latest battle schedule.
Admiral (Manpower): Responsiblities include recruitment of pilots and their promotion. Field Command Staff will have to report to you the result of each mission, including total kills, losses, experience points gained and any breach of SWSC's Code. You will also report to EC the pilots who are due for promotion in field ranks and recommend to EC those who have the flare for higher staff command.
Admiral (Technology): Responsibilities include implementation of EC technical policies. Computer programming experience, including experience in HTML, Java, C+ etc is a requirement. You will be have to look into ways to maximise our gaming experience through the internet! SWSC hopes to device our own custom made programmes for things like experience points tabulation (for purpose of promotion), SWSC's mission editor etc. You will have to be creative and have a interest in this area.
Admiral (Intelligence): Responsibilities include mission design. You will have to be interested in designing new missions for SWSC's war effort. You will be the chief liaison for mission design among SWSC's pilot, ie, to coordinate and test the missions designed by all members of SWSC. You will be responsible for raising the awareness and interest in mission design among SWSC.
For the purpose of battle, EC Command Staff will be allocated to their appropriate field grouping according to the sector that they are from. Back to the Top

Field Command Staff (Commanders for Squadron, Wing, Flotilla and Fleet)
Do you like to be in control? SWSC is looking for responsible individuals who is interested in leading their fellow pilots. It may be a squadron, wing, flotilla or a fleet! You will be responsible in organising the time for battle for your group and report back to EC [Admiral (Manpower)] on the results. Also, you will have a say in allocating new pilots into your formation when they are assigned to you. You shall also be responsible in grooming your 'second-in-command' as you delegate duties to him/her.
Important: Field Command Staff will be involved in Executive Council meeting when invited. It is part of the Commander's duty to attend these meetings.
As a Field Command Staff appointment holder, you will under the command of your superior(s) and accept the Executive Council as the ultimate command. Back to the Top
