Doppelganger: Additional Spell List LIGHTSHIFTING

This spell list was created as a supplement for the Doppelganger Base Lists for the Rolemaster Classic Series.
Since there was a Spell List: Dark Shifting and no appropriate list for 'good' creatures, I made up this one.

Note: Caster may only have one form for every five levels of experience (round up) of each type stored at any one time. Caster may willingly cancel any one stored form and store another form in its place. When in light beast form, caster may resemble himself. There is a base chance of 1% per day that the caster will suffer form delusion while under the effect of one or more Form spells. All Form spells take three rounds to complete the shift. While in another form, caster must acquire nutrition per the norm of that form (e.g. a Unicorn must graze).
Since there is no 'Type' for Not - Summonable Entities, assume Level 1 - 7 for Form I, Level 1 - 14 for Form II, 1 - 21 for Form III and 1 - 50+ for True Form.
The Order Form spells are very strong, but may offend the deity, whose Holy Champions are emulated (GM discretion).
'*' describes Instantaneous spells
'#' describes spells which come a no PP cost

  1. Type Light Beast (P*) Caster may study (for 3 consecutive, uninterrupted rounds) a Beast of Light (e.g. a Unicorn, Hippogriff, Great Eagle, Leocorn, Lammasu, etc.) for use with the higher level spells on this list.
  2. Type Summonable Entity (P*) As Type Light Beast, except caster may study a non-demonic Entity of other Planes, which could be summoned in any way. (e.g. Blacar, Discord, Djinn, Flame Beast, Lithaba, Mrem, Nightwing, etc.)
  3. Type Not - Summonable Entity (P*) As Type Summonable Entity, except all other Entities form other Planes can be studied.
  4. Body Preparation (Uĝ) Caster must cast this before any Form spell on this list. If he does not, he will suffer 'A' Physical Alteration Criticals, until the total change equals 100%.
  5. Knowledge (P*) Caster gains knowledge on and full proficiency with any natural (i.e. natural for the creature he emulates) abilities of the form he currently assumes. This includes all kinds of movement, perception and communication abilities, but no combat, draining or altering abilities, spells, or other spell - like abilities.
  6. Light Beast Form I (F) Caster may assume form of a stored Light Beast, within 3/4x and 2x his own mass. Caster only receives 25% of its supernatural abilities (e.g. a unicorn's horn would neutralize 25% of all poisons within 2.5'R, etc.).
  7. Summonable Entity Form I (F) As Light Beast Form I, except the form of a stored Summonable Entity Type I - II can be assumed.
  8. Not - Summonable Entity Form I (F) As Light Beast Form I. except the form of a stored Not - Summonable Entity can be assumed.
  9. Light Beast Form II (F) As Light Beast Form I, except mass restrictions are 1/20x to 40x and caster receives 50% of Light Beast's abilities.
  10. Summonable Entity Form II (F) As Summonable Entity Form I, except mass restrictions are 1/20x to 40x, Type I - IV and caster receives 50% of Entity's abilities.
  11. Not - Summonable Entity Form II (F) As Not - Summonable Entity Form I, except mass restrictions are 1/20x to 40x and caster receives 50% of Entity's abilities.
  12. Light Beast Form III (F) As Summonable Entity Form I, except mass restrictions are 1/40x to 400x and caster receives 75% of Entity's abilities.
  13. Summonable Entity Form III (F) As Summonable Entity Form I, except mass restrictions are 1/40x to 400x, Type I - VI and caster receives 50% of Entity's abilities.
  14. Not - Summonable Entity Form III (F) As Not-Summonable Entity Form I, except mass restrictions are 1/40x to 400x, Type I - VI and caster receives 50% of Entity's abilities.
  15. Light Beast Form True (F) As Light Beast III, except duration is permanent and caster receives 100% of Light Beast's abilities.
  16. Summonable Entity Form True (F) As Summonable Entity Form III, except duration is permanent, Type I - VI+ and caster receives 100% of Entity's abilities.
  17. Not - Summonable Entity Form True (F) As Not - Summonable Entity Form III, except duration is permanent and caster receives 100% of Entity's abilities.
  18. Order Form I (F) This spell allows the caster to assume the form of a Centaur or Winged Holy Champion.
  19. Order Form II (F) As Order Form I, except a Noble Holy Champion Form can be assumed.
  20. Order Form III (F) As Order Form I, except a High Holy Champion Form can be assumed.
  1. Order Form True (F) As Order Form I, except a High Holy Champion Form of double strength can be assumed, or 1d10 Noble Holy Champions can be summoned, in addition to the caster becoming a High Holy Champion. The duration is permanent (or until caster ends spell).
  1. Light Form Shift (F) This spell allows the caster to cast any 6th - 15th level spell from this list once per round. Once cast, Body Preparation need not be cast again for the duration of the spell, and all shifts take only one round.
