Happy Birthday,
Lucetta

Note:
The foillowing story is based on the information, you gave me through the chats we had, but in a modified version.
If you like, you could count the various references to what you've told me :-D

The sun illuminated the small hill where the pavillon had been erected in the morning.
Servants bustled all over the place, carrying refreshments to the pavillon and tending the flowers around it.
The lady sat in her usual place, in a pavillon, hidden from public scrunity by thing gauze screens. From there, she conducted the business of her estates.
To her left, set against the foot of the hill there was a small lake, deep and cold.
Close to her right sat a huge hairy beast, fully covered with beautiful brown fur and intelligent eyes.
When a servant approached the pavillon, he rose and inquired what was afoot.
Nodding, he turned to his lady:
Mylady, he said with a deep baritone, the magician informs you that a water elemental has made camp in your lake and requests an audience.

The lady graciously nodded and the servant rushed off to relay his lady's answer to the magican at the lake.

Upon the slave's arrival, the mage turned to the lake and moved his hands in an intricate pattern while intoning the formal greeting for a denizen of the elemental plane of water.
Upon completing his spell, the water began bubbling, the surface broke and a column of water rose from the it.
Froming a roughly humanios shape, the elemental began moving towards the magician, to be accompanied to the Lady's pavillon.

Upon becoming aware of the difficulties, the elemental showed while moving uphill, the lady ordered annother servant dispatched, informing the mage to relay her appologies for troubling the elemental. She asked the elemental to return to the lake, while she would come to him for their conversation.

With that, she dismissed the messenger slave and rose from her place, moving down to the lake.
Upon arriving there, the elemental stood in the shallow water, glistening in pure blue, the piercingly blue eyes overshadowed with white foam.

He began takling in a voice like water splashing down a small waterfall, the mage translated:

Honored lady, my master transmits his greetings and his best wishes for your health and well-being.
He wishes to congratulate you on this special and joyful day.
Although he is aware that time moves different for the creatures of the material plane, he hopes that his wishes are recieved well.

The lady bowed her head and relayed her thanks to the elemental's master. After a short interval of polite conversation, the elemental requested allowance to leave, since his form required large amounts of power to remain coherent for so long.

With that, he collapsed his form and disappeared into the lake.

Annother slave arrived, informing his lady of the arrival of an elven runner, bearing messages from far-away countries.
Raising an eyebrow at the fact that the messenger was of elven heritage, Lucetta returned to her pavillon and asked toe messenger to be brought to her.
Members of the messenger's guild were costly, elven ones most of all.

Furthermore, they were hard to exhaust and that one looked nearer to this state than anyone else she'd ever seen.
Kneeling and bowning deeply, the messenger spoke:

Lady, I bring inportant messages from far-away lands and a present.
First, I'd like to present the small chest, I have been ordered to give you.

With that, he produced a small black laquered chest, inlaid with golden threads and small gems.
I have been ordered to inform you that the contents of this chest were specifically grown for your pleasure.

With that he opened the chest in his hand, producing a small opal, shimmering in different colors and a scroll.
Please take the opal in hand and breathe on it.

When Lucetta complied, the opal brightened and transformed into a beautiful flower.
The message read:
Dear Lucetta

Happy Birthday to you and much joy in the next year. I am sorry to tell you the flower isn't as perfect as I have hoped, the color composition not half as good as I expected, but I'm no artist, unfortunately, only a meager programmer with a knack for appropriating items of beauty.

Anyway, here's a kind of a commotion, with a large crowd of people present.
Nicolas is sending his greetings, as well as Lao-Tse, who wishes the eternal wind to fill your sails with pleasure and joy.
Raven only smiles and sends her greetings. I guess, a birthday looses it's importance after a millenium or so.

Yours, Juri
