Martial Arts Additional Rules, modified

The table shown below is the combination of the Martial Arts rules in Character Law (Section 13.31), Arms Law (Section 10.3) and RMC VII (Section 4.1). Furthermore I changed the values for OB and # of skill ranks to better suit the results of using the Unified Skill System (RMC VI).
Multiple Opponents or Multiple Attacks
- -20 for each foe over 1 engaged in any given round
- -30 for each attack over 1 in any given round against any one foe
- -20 Weapon Kata
- -30 TWC Weapon Kata
- -30 Two - handed Weapon Kata
These modifications are only partly cumulative:
All attack modifications are sorted as follows:
- Reduce the overall OB by the number of opponents attacked
- Reduce each individual OB by the number of attacks upon this very target.
Example: A Martial Artist, who attacks two foes receives -20 on each OB (1 opponent more than normal). The same Martial Artist could attack one opponent twice at -30 to his OB. Upon attacking two opponents twice each, he receives (-20-30) = -50 to each attack. Should he decide to attack one opponent twice and the other thrice, then his OB modification would be -50 for opponent 1 and -80 for opponent 2, not -80 for both attacks !
Additional Weapon Katas
Upon gaining a new Weapon Kata, the (N)PC must choose to:
- raise the severity of the weapon Critical to one of equal serverity,
- learn a new One - hand - Weapon Kata at -20,
- learn a new Two Weapon Combo Weapon Kata at -30,
- learn a new Two - handed - Weapon Kata at -30,
- reduce one previous Weapon Kata penalty by 10 up to a total of -0.
Upon achieving either a number of skill ranks or a certain OB (with items, stats, etc.) , the (N)PC receives the following MA abilities:
