Pocket Pikachu
The Pocket Pikachu is not like a normal virtual pet. It has a built in pedometer, meaning it counts every step you take. When you walk with Pikachu, his points will go up. For every 100 steps/points, you get 5 watts. The object of the game is to keep Pikachu content by administering shocks to him daily. If you do not shock him often enough, he will turn his back on you, or even run away.

Pikachu will do different things when you shock him. A full list of the animations are below. He differs from a regular virtual pet, in that he takes care of himself. During the day you can see Pikachu doing his daily activities, from brushing his teeth and taking a shower, to doing homework and sitting down at the table to eat dinner.

There is a battery saving feature that blanks out the screen after a few seconds if you don't push any buttons. To see him again just push any button. This also happens when Pikachu begins walking. When you walk, or run, (or shake it), Pikachu will walk with you and beep. The screen blanks so you don't have to hear a beep with every step.

The case it self looks alot like a Gameboy, but it is much much smaller. It is about the size of a very small beeper, and not much bigger than a tama. It is very thick, and it has a belt clip on the back, which makes it thicker. They retail for about $20 in Japan.
