count
NAME: count - count your own stuff or things in the room SYNOPSIS: count [<something>] count money [<nr> t|tg|tangram] [<nr> c|cb|celebel ] [<nr> n|nr|norind ] [<nr> d|dl|donnarlin] DESCRIPTION: You can count most things in your surroundings or in your inventory. For example, when you see some apples lying around, or carry then with you, 'count apples' will tell you how many. Counting usually takes some time, and the things must be visible to you. You can count all your money with 'count money'. (Same here: It takes time, and the coins must not be in purses, pockets, or the like.) 'count money <value>' does a financial calculation: It tells you how much some money is in donnarlins and in largest possible coins. The value argument has the form '<nr> tg <nr> cb <nr> nr <nr> dl' where tg means tangram, etc. (See 'help money'.) (You can also write the full name of the coins, or just their first letters. Spaces are not important. You can leave out those currencies where the numbers are 0. See the examples below.) Just 'count' is more like an emote: You count aloud. EXAMPLE: count - You count aloud. count axes - You count all the axes that you see in the room. If there are none, you count all axes in your inventory. count my axes - You count the axes in your inventory. count money - You count all the money that you carry. count money 18 c 379 d count money 18 cb 379 dl count money 18 celebel 379 donnnarlin count money 18c379dl - all means the same, and you get: "18 celebel and 379 donnarlin - that's, uhh... ... that's 6139 donnarlin, or 1 tg 7 cb 2 nr 19 dl." count 18 donnarlin 17 tangram - would NOT work because the order is wrong (must be sorted from large to small currency: tg,cb,nr,dl). NOTE: You can't count things in the room and in your inventory together. If there are things in the room and in your inventory that match your count, you will count the things in the room by default. To count your own stuff, type "count my <something>". SEE ALSO: estimate, appraise, money
