Time in Morisot

1. The time system in the mud

The base unit of the time system is a quint. Like the name
suggests, 5 quints together are one hour. One day has 28
hours. A year has 316 days.
Every year is divided into 8 month. Every month has 39 days.
Altogether these are 312 days. The remaining 4 days belong
to no month. They are celebration days at the beginning of a
new season.
13 years form one epoch.

So we get the following structure:

 13 years = 1 epoch
 316 days = 1 year
 28 hours = 1 day
 5 quints = 1 hour

Additionally we have:

 8 month + 4 free days = 1 year
 39 days               = 1 month
 8 days                = 1 week

The free days are:

  40 = beginning of spring
 119 = beginning of summer
 198 = beginning of autumn
 277 = beginning of winter

There are also three moons with different orbiting times:

white moon: 34 days
dark  moon: 44 days
red   moon: 26 days

2. Relations between ic and ooc time

Currently, there are the following relations between
mud time and real time:

1 quint  =  OOC 100 seconds =         1 min 40 sec
1 hour   =  OOC                       8 min 20 sec
1 day    =  OOC                  3 h 53 min 20 sec
1 week   =  OOC          1 day  07 h 06 min 40 sec
1 month  =  OOC          6 days 07 h 40 min 00 sec
1 year   =  OOC         51 days 04 h 53 min 20 sec
1 epoch  =  OOC 1 year 300 days 15 h 33 min 20 sec

That means, 1 quint in the mud takes up 100 real seconds.
1 mud day is a bit less than 4 hours.
The ratio of mud time to real time may be subject to
changes, though.

3. Meaning of mud time

An hour in the mud is meant to be as long as an hour in
reality. That means that a day in the mud (with its 28
hours) is meant to be longer than a day in reality.
In other words: If, in real life, a snail crawls 1 meter
per hour and 24 meters per day, the same snail would crawl
1 meter per hour and 28 meters per day in the mud.
