BRUN

Brun first encountered the high life of adventuring, many years before our campaign started. Having been a mercenary during his younger years, Brun is reluctant to speak of his past to his companions. A stone wall of quiet and solitude surrounds his day to day life, in his efforts to escape the horrible things he has done.

In his past, Brun was known as 'Braun'. Quite literally, he was hired muscle for whoever bargained the highest. But somewhere along the line, nobody knows where, Braun lost his cool edge and left his old existance.

Sitting on the southern coast of Barsaive not long after, Braun decided to change his identity, renaming himself 'Brun'. From there he wandered northward, surviving with his fishing skills - exchanging left over catches for wine and fine whiskeys. It must have been a year of slow travel northward, stopping for months at a time to sit and fish. Drinking enormous amounts of alcohol, Brun lost himself and his old identity, but he just couldn't ecape his terrors: rape, pilliage and god knows what else.

Somewhere along the line, Brun met up with his master. A Warrior by discipline, this aging man showed that conflict could resolve all problems. Brun cannot remember his name - his memory was too far gone. But he knows with certainty, that the old bugger made sense.

When things were open, there were no secrets. The old man would face all their problems - including Bruns drinking habits - with simple conflict. In argument, contest and struggle, Brun always found the right answer.

After Brun had acquired the skills he needed to survive as a Warrior, he left the old man and his city, following the bank of the Servos River. He found a small settlement called Forgal, and sat down for a long mug of ale. In through the door walked a thin, light footed fellow by the name of 'Jaque'. Immediately, as their eyes became locked in gaze, conflict struck outside, as the villiage of Forgal was terrorised by a nearby troll community. It was like a partnership in blood. A knowing between fighters, that in each others company, they could find the answer to all their problems.
