Alright, so we update as often as our guestbook is signed, but we have no new news. That's why we need you. If you have news about Tiberian Sun, send it to us at this address and you will get credit for it. Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun has been delayed until March 30, 1999.. After it is released, expect both of our reviews, strategy, and maybe a few extras like maps.

-The NOD Stealth Generator can cloak huge parts of of a base. It will take a lot of power though.
-This time the GDI can order units and get them with Dropships.
-A NOD unit, the Scavenger, will put pieces of broken units together. He can fix a broken Stealth Tank and a Mech into a Stealth Mech. NOD can't build a Scavenger, just like GDI can't build commandos. You have to convince them to join you.
-There MIGHT be unit queing in TS.

July 15, 1998 -- News From Westwood |
There will be several types of hostile animals in the game. Poisonous gas clouds can come out from the environment and damage your units, but they will not damage things like trees - fires are the main concern with trees. Many things can set off fires, such as weapons, falling orcas, debris, and other things.
Aircraft still do not uncover shroud, because they'd make shroud worthless to have (they go really fast and uncover it too quickly). You can re-select air units after you've deselected them (unlike in C&C). There will be no spy plane and no GPS in the game.
There is an orbital space platform owned by GDI called The Philadelphia. The dropships you see in the upper left corner of this picture are dropships that transport troops down onto the battlefield.
Even though GDI doesn't have the humvee in Tiberian Sun, Nod will still have the Nod Buggy. Gdi's closest counterpart would be the Powered Assault Suit, but it's slower that the Nod buggy.
The suits the infantry wear protect them from the atmosphere, which is barely breathable, but they can still be hurt by direct contact with Tiberium.
The interface is going to be changed a little to prevent the frantic scrolling required for some units and buildings. The sidebar is even longer than it is in Red Alert with all the units there are. One idea they are working on is having general categories on one side (like structures, defenses, vehicles, infantry, upgrades, etc.) and having the specific units of that category on the other. That plan is only an idea and may change on implimentation. Upgrades are built at the same place as units and buildings (on the sidebar), then placed on the appropriate upgrade pod.
Only one harvester at a time can enter refineries, not three as one rumor stated.

Command & Conquer was released in 1995 and was an instant hit. With a decent plot line and excellent gameplay, C&C sold millions. Just a year later, Westwood studios, a division of Virgin Interactive, released Command & Conquer: Red Alert. This prequel to C&C sold even better. It had an excellent plot, superb graphics, and better music than the original. Now, after numerous add-ons to C&C, comes the real sequel to Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn. In the Fall of 1998, Westwood will release Command & Conquer 2: Tiberian Sun.
Tiberian Sun is Coming out on November 6th, 1998, we plan to get it immediately!
