New Wargear (Playtest)

The following pieces of wargear are just doodles of my imagination than anything else. If you want to use them, make sure you get the oposing player's conscent (as with all playtest things). Also, if you DO use them, let me know what you think of them and how they worked for you.

Melta Launcher (40 points)

If a model firing a melta launcher rolls a 1 to hit, roll an armor save immediatley (like a plasma gun overheating). Also, a Melta Launcher gains +2d6 for armor penetration against vehicles within 24".

Emperor's Breath (40 points, one per army, IC only)
The Emperor's Breath is one of the most holiest relics in the Imperium. A unit wielding this relic sends forth a blast of holy wind into the enemy with the follwing rules.

Furthermore, if it is used against Daemons, it has the following stats.

The Emperor's Breath is wielded in one hand, and counts as a  close combat weapon in hand to hand, but may not be combined with another gun/pistol. An unit where the Emperor's Breath is taken may include a Sister Hospitaliator in the squad.

Rod of the Heavens (10 points)
Celestians have been trained in the art of close combat and valour for the most part of their lives. Upon ascension to Celestianhood, they are trained to wield this close combat weapon. The Rod of the Heavens counts as a close combat weapon and may be combined with another close combat weapon for +1 attack. It grants the user +1 strength in close combat. (Note: Only Celestians and Canonesses may take this piece of wargear)

Staff of the Heavens (20 points)
Essentially works in the same way as the Rod of Heavens but may only be taken by VSS Celestians and Canonesses. However, it is wielded in two hands and may not be combined with another close combat weapon. It adds +2 to the user's strength and counts as power weapon.

Litanies of Faith (15 points)
Works just as in the Chapter Approved article (but a lower point cost to make them look more attractive)
