What is Tear Gas?
Tear gas is a kind of gas, that affects mostly the eyes (That's why it's called "tear gas"), but also interrupts breathing. One of the SWAT's tear gas grenades blankets 1000 square feet (90 square meters).

Why do I Need to Use Tear Gas?
In reality, tear gas would make everyone breathing it try to get fresh air, but in the game, it will just make them do nothing, until the gas is clear, or until you arrest/rescue them. It is very good for disabling armed and even threatening suspects, as long as they don't have a chance to shoot you before the tear gas grenade blows up.

So How Exactly do I Use It?
There are two ways to shoot a tear gas grenade. The simple one is to just shoot to a location, which might be either dangerous or ineffective in some cases. The second way is to shoot the tear gas through an open door or through a window. Note that if you want to do that, you will have to look for a location that the tear gas cursor will change to a "glowing" tear gas cursor, and only then shoot. As soon as you shoot the tear gas, break in!

If there is a gas can in the area of the tear gas grenade, it will blow up and start a fire.
