NISCONI WAS ESTABLISHED ON NOVEMBER 1st, 1972, with its head office in Jakarta, Indonesia, as a joint venture company between Perusahaan Pertambangan Minyak dan Gas Bumi Negara (PERTAMINA) and NIPPON STEEL CORPORATION, one of the world's largest steels producers. In the year 1982, P.T. ELNUSA joined the company as one of the major partners. P.T. NISCONI offers a complete range of onshore and offshore engineering and construction services. In particular, P.T. NISCONI can carry out a wide variety of services ranging from engineering, material procurement, fabrication and construction for offshore platforms, submarine and onland pipelines, oil/gas treating and transfer facilities, LPG/LNG production and storage facilities and steel structures such as bridges, piers/jetties, buildings and tank. P.T. NISCONI enjoys the full back-up of NIPPON STEEL CORPORATION, and internationally-known company experienced in the engineering and construction sectors as well as steel production. NIPPON STEEL CORPORATION also has various kinds of offshore construction equipment such as the derrick/lay barges KUROSHIO and KUROSHIO II, the pipe-lay barge YUSHIMA MARU and the launch barge AGANO and HIBIKI MARU. One of the important factors in P.T. NISCONI's ability to undertake complex projects is that we have the advantages of being assured a steady supply of excellent quality steel materials and access to the latest technological development in the fields of steel from one parent company; while drawing on the most up-to-date oil and gas technology from our other parent, PERTAMINA. |
