Mattew 6:25-27 says: Therefore I tell you, do
not worry about your
life, what you will eat and drink; or abut your body,
what you will
wear. Is not life more important than clothes?
Look at the birds of
the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in
barns, and yet your
heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much
more valuable than they?
Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his
life?
This is a great verse about faith in every aspect of
your life. It says
don't worry about how you are to surrive, instead
trust me to take care
of you. Everything happens for the good of God.
EVERYTHING. Sure it
seems hard to imagine that the hollucost was for the
good of God, but it
was. All the stuff that went on was wrong yet
it served a purpose.
People are no longer willing to stand by and watch
injustice. Why worry
about if the clothes you are wearing will impress
Billy Bob or Jane
Smith (all names have been changed to protect the
innocent and hopefuly
give you a little chorttle) , insetead wear the clothes
that God would
be impressed with. I go around my school and
see countless girls
wearing pants that are way too tight and some halter
top cut way too low
and I wonder, why? But that isn't really anything
to do with the verse.
I digress but it had to be said. So anyways,
the question of, "Who of
you can add a single hour to his life by worrying?"
means that worrying
is just wasted time and energy. We have the
master of EVERYTHING
looking out for us so anything that happens for a
reason so don't fret
about it. That's a great thought. Don't
worry for the Father is with
us, no matter what. Even if we are doing something
we know is wrong,
he's right behind us pleading us not to. Yet
we do. For someone who
claims that we love God we sure do some pretty bad
things. Only by
trusting in God and letting his will be done will
you ever bring him
glory. We ALL fall short of the kingdom of God.
Billy Grahm falls
short of the kingdom of God, so does Mother Teressa,
so do I, the only
way to heaven is a personal relationship with Jesus
Christ, the
annointed one. On the day of out judgement it
will be decided that we
don't deserve to enter the kingdom of God but Jesus
will say, "father,
it is all right. He is a friend and has done
well in my sight. Come
enter into glory with me. Ginger beef awaits."
How great is the master
of whom we serve!
