Jello

I saw my desire in the shadows
She with powdered jello in her hand,
beckoned me to take a lick
Tongues crimson as a sweetheart's rose

I asked her for some of my own
Pink dust fell toward white rocks,
and evaporated into the ground
Fingertips dyed the color of our lust

I couldn't help hearing she looked like Madonna
Sad electric blue eye shadow,
smeared by beads of lonliness
Her lips were never as bright as ours are now

Talking about our time onscreen
After the bell echoed retreat,
we sat in the unmown grass to rat our hair
We wore our ruby mouths even after the boys left

We rolled down the hill twice
A light that made our skin glow pure,
gave us to our passion
We kissed until our lips shone through the stain

The others called us floozies
Our innocence kept us clean
Now when we do it,
we know they were right
The blush wore away, but not the taste-

Raw flesh and fruit
