Waiting Crazy
milk, sugar, paillettes and perfume
flour and Grease in an oversized pan
mix it up and sweat it out while it bakes
the sickeningly sweet recipe is successful
a gloppy mess of german chocolate
only fit for beatniks and missionaries
crude coconut commands attention
rendering the hunter the hunted
forceful, physical, playful and phony
except, sarah doesn't like chocolate cake
smear pink frosting over the rough, grimy faux pas
blueberry baubles sparkle in a sweaty sea of sticky waves
dayglow green goo sending sexual signals
serve it on a silver slide a la mode
lips spill onto a platter in smooth pink puddles
the presentation is perfected
what a pretty parfait
an uneasy appetite wonders at the confection
will you eat 'til i am full
or leave me only a few crumbs?
