Hi! I'm DrillMstr,
a channel operator for #martial and this is an unofficial
#martial home page. I am sometimes known as Hachiman(on IRC),
DrillMstr or SSGTDST (on AOL), or even Doug Thomas (in real
life).
#martial is a chat channel on Internet Relay Chat (IRC) dedicated
to the discussion of Martial Arts. We will discuss anything that
has to do with Martial Arts. The OFFICIAL #martial home page is
at www.martial.net
and is currently being updated.
To get into martial:
1. Download and install an IRC program. I suggest either mIRC or pIRCh.
2. After connecting to your internet provider, launch your IRC
program.
3. Connect to any Undernet
server.
4. Join #martial.
5. It is customary to bow into the channel upon entering and
announce your martial arts experience.
It's that easy. If you have any problems please let one of our
channel operators know and we will be more than happy to assist
you. Anyone with an @ in front of their nickname is a channel
operator. If you are having difficulty connecting, feel free to
e-mail me and I will be glad to do everything I can to get you
connected with us.
We have only one rule in #martial and that is to show respect to
everyone at all times. We do not allow open style bashing. Also,
we do not tolerate any flooding or other forms of hacking that is
designed to disrupt the flow of conversation. We are a family
channel so please do not use disrespectful language. Our goal is
to see that everyone is given an opportunity to enjoy our
channel.
We also pride ourselves on offering fast responses to your
martial arts questions. If we can't find it while you're online
with us, then we will find it and e-mail it to you.
