My path to becoming an indie kid, began with, of course, The Smiths.
Sadly, they came to a demise in 1987. I followed Morrissey very closely for a time, and discovered fellow Mancunians James,
The Stone Roses and New Order. My attraction to Indie music is strongly rooted in the witty English lyrics, but I also love the driving guitars, ethereal, rockin' and rollin'.
I was also heavily into the House of Love, Trash Can Sinatras, and The Cure.
Of the newer guys, Oasis is ok, but Pulp and Elastica are better.

However, of all the indie groups, my fave has to come down to a choice between
The Manic Street Preachers, Suede and Gene.

I also like to collect Live Indie Stuff. Check here for my list. I just updated it, enjoy.

If I ever want to dance, I tune into my favorite "Asian/CSA" groups, Erasure and the Pet Shop Boys.

BTW, I also love the Beatles, and Chinese Music.
