Hi, and welcome to my Ranma 1/2 Z FAQ page. If you have a question about my story, you’ll probably find the answer here. All these questions were from (or at least derived from) e-mails sent to me by dedicated readers. ^_^

Will the characters ever use “Fusion”?

This is a very common question, and I have thought about this since I started writing Ranma 1/2 Z. After some careful thinking, I’ve decided that this isn't going to happen in the main story. It is a technique reserved for the very last few parts of the entire Ranma Dragonball universe, which has the main story (Ranma 1/2 Z) AND it’s sequels.

Why does the story look more about Ranma 1/2 than DBZ?

Guilty as charged. I’ve made Ranma 1/2 Z closer to the Ranma universe than DBZ. But that’ll change when in a sequel, the Ranma characters goes to the DBZ universe. I’ll try to be fair to both animes.

Hey, what about Gokuu and Vegiita?

I haven’t forgotten about them, but if I pulled them into the story, then Ranma 1/2 Z will get out of focus. They’ll show up in a sequel as indicated, I promise.

Is Cell going to have anything to do with the story?

No, I decided that Cell is too powerful for our guys, and it would be repetitous to have him fight Ranma and lose.

Will the parts to the story ever be combined into one large single file?

I thought about doing this at first, but with the limated space left on my account, I decided not to.

Is Trunks in the story “chibi Trunks” or “mirai Trunks”

In a sense, the answer is “neither”. The Trunks in Ranma 1/2 Z is actually from the regular time line of “chibi Trunks”, only that he grew up, as from the last chapter of Volume 42. You can say that this Trunks takes place right after the end of DBZ, and just before the start of DB GT.

Why does Trunks seem so weak in Ranma 1/2 Z?

Part of the reason is that Trunks has slacked off during the days after the final battle with Boo. But still he has incredible power, and the rest of the reason is explained in part 14, with the debute of Ukyou. Trunks donated his blood to Ukyou, and therefore got weaker.

Since Ranma, Ryoga, Akane, (and Ukyou, as we recently found out) have Saiyajin blood, will they have monkey tails?

I thought about this as a possiblilty, but decided against it because it’s just too...... freaky! In the author’s note that accompanies the end of the story, I’ll explain in “logical” terms as to why not.

When did Trunks learn the Kamehame ha

Good question! he didn’t learn it in the manga series, but for the sake of a explanation, I’ll say that Trunks learn the techniqe after the battle with Boo. (It’s very easy to learn) In addition, Trunks DOES know the Kamehame Ha technique in the TV series, as seen in the 3rd battle with Broli.

Will anyone reach Super Saiyajin level 2?

In Dragonball.... well no, let’s start with the beginning of DBZ, it took Gokou (and even Gohan) a period of years to reach level 2. It doesn’t seem right to have Ranma and co turning level 2 after just a week. I don’t want to rush the story. The drawing of “Ultra” Ranma chan commonly leads to this question.

What’s with the Sailor Moon and other Anime cameos doing in the story?

They are just for fun, no way am I gonna have a serious story with SM, DBZ, and R1/2.

What Happened to Happosai?

In the beginning parts of Ranma 1/2 Z, I did consider making a role for Happosai. But as the story progressed, I just never got around to him. It's not like I didn't have a plan on how Happosai could be involved, but I couldn't get around to him. So, let the answer just be "Happosai went on vacation"

Will Super Ranma survive Akane’s cooking?

huh? What kind of question is that? You had better not let Akane here you say that, or you’ll be in BIG trouble.
