Warcraft II was released about two years ago for the PC, only recently has it come out on the Mac. So, there's one disadvantage of the Mac you may say, but it sure has lots of other advantages over the PC. Anyway, we'll talk about that later. As a Warcraft II Human fan, (yes I have to admit it, I got to know Warcraft II by playing it on a PC in Canada, and I have to owe that to Troy Smith. This page has various Authentic PUDs on it, cheats, and tactics to slaughter your opponent. I was thinking whether to actually make this page, 'cos then all my friends can now probably thrash me at the game.

PUDs

for MAC users, all of these are zipped and are about 11K each to download. They're all mine, authentic, original. If you put them on your page, let me know please? Or you can just say that they're mine with a link.

If you do download these puds, then the least you coulddo is sign my guestbook? Thanks, find the link at the side bar.

battle.pud Two humans, two computers, build up your army and venture into the central battlefield

chaos.pudSerious havoc. Two player., This will work really when you play against a human opponent, as the computer can control all of his guys at once. The whole of the screen is full of knights, ogres, ballistas, catapults, etc. etc.

charge.pud Two players, either side of the screen, with 6X32 amount of knights or ogres. 4 cannon towers. In the middle are a about-to-be slaughtered herd of pigs. Lets go!!!

four.pud Four players. Two computer, two human, four rescuable armies, better hurry up and rescue as many as you can!

fight.pud Two players, each surrounded with trees, each with a massive mine of 675000 gold. Let's fight!!

findme.pudNEW 28/12/96!! Two players, a real maze, 50,000 gold mines everywhere. And some 15,000 ones. A real game here!

helpus.pudTwo players, with 25 knights and 5 demolition squads. Have to rescue 9 peasants, only one way to get to them, and there is a chance that they confront the other player in doing so! Suspense!

letsally.pud Red and blue players have to ally. White and Black also have to. White and black had better be computer as they have the disadvantage of a longer distance to travel to their mines

maze.pud Serious fun. Four players, each in a little slot and there are obstacles everywhere, if you want to get somewhere fast, go by water

redvblue.pud Just like maze.pud, serious fun. Only there are only two players.

rgb.pudNEW 28/12/96!! Three players, one human the other two are computer. Let's go!

sealand.pud Four players, two human, two computer. Lots of water, useful to go anywhere in the map, land is all joined with various bridges everywhere.

letsgo.pud Two players, all ready to fight!!!

water.pud Is there much else to say????!

watchout.pud Two players, in opposite corners. The map is split into 4 by a river running in an X shape. You have to use transporters to attack the opposition, but be careful, there are many cannon towers around, (and a few guard towers!!)

Tactics of Warfare, and Warcraft

Shun Zi, master of war always said: never fight a war on two fronts. I believe that this is one of the most important things in Warcraft, if you're fighting against two people at the same time, on different sides, you don't have a chance. Here are the tactics:

  • Try and keep your base in an area where it can be attacked only by one side, the best is in a corner, but if not, try to keep it next to some rocks or trees.
  • Whenever defending with troops, form an L shape, however, if you see a demolition squad coming right at you, I suggest you do something about this formation quick, as they can kick ass (the ds s)
  • It is really best to keep you forces in groups of four, that way, they are not liable to be destroyed so easily from a blizzard than if there were nine.
  • Always protect your peasants, as they are the heart of your forces, doing the basic essentials that are needed to keep your town running.
  • Keep Knights at the front of your forces, then archers, then ballistas.
  • When building towers, place ballistas or archers next to them.
  • If you feel like wasting money, build gryphon riders, if not, don't, they're only useful against land troops like knights, unless in great quantity, they can get whipped by archers and towers. They are also slow to respond, and are very stupid and kill each other if you don't place them in the correct posistions.
  • Always build a flying machine, extremely useful in searching out the area. In fog of war, you might even have to build up to 15 of them!
  • Armies of demolition squads are brilliant. Use them, if necessary to destroy oncoming hoards of knights, annoying for your opponent, glorious for you!
  • When you discover more than one mine, try and build another well defended town hall next to it so that money income will be quick.
  • "When you are weak appear strong, when you are strong appear weak." :Shun Zi, use this phrase wisely. That is one of my greatest tactics.
  • Train lots of Mages, and use them wisely. (maybe useful against demolition squads? Hmmmm?)

  • Use slow against bloodlusted ogres, basically, if you are humans and do not have mages and your enemy ahs bloodlusted ogres, you are dead.

  • Build as many peasants as poss.

  • Build armed forces all the time and keep on the offensive, unless it's ffa (free for all), then play defensive.

That's all Im going to say, I'm not giving all my secrets away, no way! Discover others for yourself.

  • it is a good day to die: invincible except against mages
  • title: increases the speed of your units
  • unite the clans: instant victory
  • orc X: takes you to level X of Orcs
  • human X: same as above.

    War2 Stories

    Blizzard attack

I was playing my friend over modem and I must say, I did have quite an advantage, but not saying anything bad, cos he is my friend! Well, anyway, it was Gold seperates east from west and he had a second base in the left side. there was this barrier of trees, about two layers thick and then he had all these peons running from a mine. I had about three mages and a few knights beyond this barrier. Well, you can guess what I did huh? Blizzard those peons!!!!! All of them died, and when bezerkers came to help, they couldn't get through the barrier (obviously) BLIZZArd !!!! Oh yes...that was one blizzard vicory I won't forget! Well, actually, we never finished the game. oh well. But in the stats, I had twice as much everything as he did, so, heh, well.

Getting whipped by those good guys

Well, as a newbie, I didn' t realise the power of speed and upgrades. Playing two games against masters of Warcraft II, I realised, as humans, if you do not hurry and get lots of guys and upgrades, against ogres, you get slaughtered. Okay, so here's the story. Diino, nice guy from New Orleans comes along and says he's OKAY...yeah right. Anyway, I said I needed a quick game, and he gives me one. Normally, I build lots of towers for defense, then concentrate on upgrading. No no no no!!!! Do NOT do this, ever. If you play against a good guy, especially if he's orc, he will cane you so bad it hurts. About 20 mins in, I have secured one entrance to my base using the lovely farm defense tactic. Anyway, in come 9 bloodlusted ogres, they're easy to take care of, at first. After making a second entrance to my base, and start to expand about 30 mins in (bit late, remember, expand quickly, one of my faults. So, in that second expansion, in come 9 more bloodlusted ogres. Well, so much for that town hall. And then there's those 20 peasants that were harvesting, oh well. At first, my towers took care of the first 9, then in come another 9, well, so much for those towers. Farms, lumbermill, keep, oh well.
And the moral is, UPGRADE!!!! Speed is of the essence, get to castle, get to mages, get to knights, get to 5 barracks, yes FIVE!!!

If you don't at first succeed, try, try again!

I played Rib the other day, and well, it was like playing my old self. Basically, he needed to quicken up a lot. About 30 mins in, he was still on keep, while I had castle, mages, paladins demo squads. And well, I tore his town apart! THough I must say, he put up a good fight with those grunts! By the way, this is after those games above. I had learnt my lesson by then! eocities Home Geocities Geocities Tokyo
