:: hello there :: first of all let me introduce myself - ok that is what I am supposed to do on a page about myself anyway, isn’t it ;). my name is carsten raimund unnerstall. I was born on february the 14th ,1975 in the beautiful southern part of germany (near stuttgart). I lived there for all of my childhood and went to school. In school  I have learned a lot  of things that I did not need so far – but you never know when this knowledge could come in handy ;). after I did my abitur I went to the armed forces. I decided to join this “club” (german air force) for a longer period of time (originally 12 years were planned). I decided to end my time as an “active” member after four years. since july 13th , 1998 I am a “freelancer” (reserve lieutenant). don't get me wrong if i had to choose again I would always take the same way again, because the air force gave me a lot of experience that I would not want to miss.

during my time with the air force I did spend 2 years at the university of the german armed forces in hamburg. I soon realized, that I am more interested in business and “real life” (I studied business administration and economics) than in spending 12 years  of my life in the forces. So I started to make a part-time trainee-programme during my studies in a financial services company to gather experience in this field of business and to learn how to sell.

since september 21^st 1998 I am studying in the european business programme (EBP) at the university of portsmouth (southern england) and at the university of applied science in muenster (northern germany). therefore I will spend the next four years learning the theories and tricks of business administration and management. during this time I hope to get the opportunity to get insights into other cultures as well as meeting and working with many interesting people.

what time will bring, only time can tell…
